Differences between the Silk Book Tao Te Ching and Tao Te Ching
The difference between the silk book Tao Te Ching and Tao Te Ching lies in the different reading effects.

In the process of writing Laozi, 5,000 words were preceded by "Tao Jing" and later by "Tao Jing". "Tao", if it is not based on morality, it is difficult to feel, understand and enter it. Only by cultivating this "virtue" and possessing the "five virtues", that is, "benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom and faith" explained by Laozi in the first chapter, can we be qualified to achieve this "virtue".

Only when "virtue" is full can we taste the taste of "Tao" and know how "Tao" works. Because "Tao" is unspeakable and words are broken. There is no way to describe this realm in words, but to understand it with "virtue". Let people first cultivate the moral character of the soul and gain moral energy, and then understand the natural avenue and the natural laws of heaven and earth, so that it is easy to read the Book of Changes.

Summary of reading experience:

From a lot of experience, there is a difference between reading the popular book Tao Te Ching with 5,000 words and reading the silk book Tao Te Ching with 5,000 words. Therefore, in the preface, I spent a long time sorting out the Tao Te Ching and mobilizing my students. After a lot of historical research, I have revised another version, which may have certain reference significance for everyone.

According to the original intention of Laozi's Classic of Morality and Taoism, we restored the version. Of course, many key contents were also sorted out during the repair. For example, the chapter "Water Control" was originally written in the silk book "Laozi", but it was changed to "Water Control" after the Han Dynasty, and people basically could not understand Laozi.

"If" and "rule" have completely different meanings. "If" focuses on the obscurity of reason and emphasizes "imitating" the character and spirit of water. However, the water in nature is clear and turbid, with dual attributes, which can not only benefit mankind, but also be a disaster. Turbid and evil water and disaster water do not have the attribute of "doing good" Laozi said "water control", which is a very typical expression. We should "control" our own water of life with the most beautiful and perfect things.
