Wu Shifen (1796— 1856) was born in Haifeng (now Wudi). In the 15th year of Qing Daoguang (1835), he was a scholar, edited and edited by imperial academy, magistrate of Nan 'an Prefecture in Jiangxi Province, provincial judge of Guangxi and Henan Province, minister of Zhili, Guizhou and Shaanxi Province, magistrate of Zhejiang Province, bachelor and assistant minister of the Cabinet of the Ministry of Rites, and later served as doctor Guanglu. Wu Shifen was good at epigraphy and archaeology all his life. In his spare time in politics, he collected epigraphy artifacts, wrote two epigraphy monographs, Ancient Records and Full Text of Ancient Records, and co-authored Textual Research on Sealing Mud with others. Wu Shifen was versatile and wrote many books in his life. Most of the manuscripts are kept in the National Library and the Shandong Provincial Library.
