What is the classical Chinese answer to Cang Xie's book? How to talk about Cangjie's word-making?
Chinese characters are the earliest characters in the world with a history of about 6000 years. The ancients believed that Chinese characters were created by Cang Xie. In this regard, there are many records in the pre-Qin classics, such as Xunzi Revealing the Secret: "There are many good books, but Cang Xie is the only one." Lu Chunqiu Jun Shou: "Xi Zhong made cars, Cang Xie made books, Hou Ji made crops, Hao Tao made punishments, Kunwu made pottery, and Xia Ying made cities. What these six people have done is worthwhile. " Five Treatises of Han Feizi: "Write a book in ancient times, with its own name' Xu' and its back name' Xu'." There are also many records in the writings of Han people. For example, "Huai Nan Zi Ben Xun": "In the past, Cang Xie wrote a book, and the ghosts cried at night." Especially in the Eastern Han Dynasty, Xu Shen talked about this in the most detailed way in his groundbreaking monograph on linguistics and philology, Shuo Wen Jie Zi Xu (see appendix "Xu Shen and Shuo Wen Jie Zi", the same below): "The ancients respected the king of the family, looked up at the sky, looked down at the law, and looked at the land, depending on the culture of birds and animals and the earth, and approached it. And Shennong tied the rope to rule the unified affairs, which was complicated and fraudulent. In Huangdi Neijing, Cang Xie saw the traces of hoofs of birds and animals, and he knew that division and reasoning could be different. At the beginning, he made a book publishing contract and studied everything. "As can be seen from the above, in ancient society, the theory of Cangjie's word-making has been finalized. Xu Shen clearly put forward the origin, ideas and achievements of Cangjie's word-making. However, scholars in later generations, especially in modern times, are skeptical or even negative about Cang Xie's theory of word-making. They believe that Chinese characters are not created by one person at a time, but the result of long-term accumulation by Han ancestors. To discuss this issue, we believe that we should first clarify the meaning of the origin of Chinese characters: that is, the origin of Chinese characters is aimed at the Chinese character system we are using now. Having made this premise clear, the views of these scholars are debatable. First, from the above introduction and other historical records, it can be seen that in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period more than 2,500 years ago, Cangjie's word-making theory was the common sense of the society at that time. Since modern times, through the study of unearthed documents and cross-textual research with different sources, the credibility of China's ancient history records is quite high. For example, in the early years of the Western Jin Dynasty, the ancient history recorded in the Book of Jizhong unearthed in Wang Wei's tomb in Jixian County (now Jixian County, Henan Province, Wei in the Warring States Period) is the chronicle of Wei's history books. Many historical records of Shang and Zhou Dynasties are consistent with those of Oracle Bone Inscriptions and Jinwen. In the recent large-scale historical research project of Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties in China, the literature materials are largely based on. For another example, through the study of Oracle bone inscriptions and other different sources, it shows that the records of the royal lineage of Shang Dynasty in Historical Records Yin Benji are basically reliable, that is, some traditional documents that have always been despised by historians because of their unruly words, such as the Virtue of Five Emperors, the Imperial System and the Classic of Mountains and Seas. It has also been proved to be true. Therefore, although there is no conclusive evidence to prove yes or no, it is not advisable to be skeptical or even negative about the records of ancient history. Secondly, the earliest known systematic Chinese character is Oracle Bone Inscriptions in the Shang Dynasty, and its historical upper limit is at least 3,300 years ago. According to the research of experts and scholars, 5949 words of Oracle Bone Inscriptions have been collected (most of them are homonyms, according to the latest research, about 3500 words), and it is found that Oracle Bone Inscriptions is a quite mature writing system, which fully conforms to the principle of "Six Books". This shows that the emergence of Oracle Bone Inscriptions should be something more distant. Cang Xie lived about 45,600 years ago. As can be seen from the previous introduction, Cang Xie's ci-making is a conscious creative activity, which has its origin ("numerous works, superficial decoration sprouting"), its theoretical guiding principle ("distinguishing the differences") and its realization result ("all kinds of works can be observed"). Compared with Oracle Bone Inscriptions, from the perspective of historical evolution, it is reasonable that Chinese characters were made in Cang Xie. Thirdly, through the study of the law of innovation, it is found that all the important ideas and theories in history, as well as major inventions and discoveries, were independently completed by individuals. Moreover, even if these important innovations are recognized and accepted by the public, they often go through a long and difficult process. It can be seen that Cang Xie's theory of coinage conforms to the law of innovation. In view of the above analysis, we believe that Cang Xie's theory of word formation is credible. At least, it can be considered that Chinese characters have become mature and systematic since Cang Xie. As for whether Cang Xie is a person's name, an official name or other meaning, we can't elaborate for the time being, because what we are concerned about here is the fact of the origin of Chinese characters. The Chinese characters used by China people (in fact, far more than China people) were created by Cang Xie. Nowadays, among all kinds of computer Chinese character input methods widely used in the world, one is called "Cang Xie Chinese character input method". As the "originator of Chinese characters", Cang Xie has been respected not only by Chinese at home and abroad, but also by the world for thousands of years. Located in Wang Ji Township, Yucheng County, Shangqiu City, Cangjie Tomb welcomes an endless stream of domestic and foreign tourists every day. Cang Xie is the official historian of the Yellow Emperor. In order to record things and convey information, the Yellow Emperor ordered him to create characters. Cang Xie first invented hieroglyphics. Later, because hieroglyphics could not meet people's needs, he invented knowing words, pictophonetic words and so on. It has made great contributions to the progress of human civilization. Huangdi attached great importance to Cang Xie's contribution to the invention and popularization of Chinese characters. After Cang Xie died, he ordered him to be buried in a hanging coffin. Today, in front of Cang Xie's tomb, there is a hall hidden in the lush cypress trees. On the wooden pillars on both sides of the temple gate, there is a couplet: "The ancestor of writing in the world, the calligrapher of ancient and modern times".
