Hechi University, referred to as "Heyuan", is located in Yizhou District, Hechi City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and is the only ordinary undergraduate college in northwest Guangxi. On the basis of the former Hechi Teachers College, a full-time undergraduate college was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education in April 2003.
