Dalian Art College, one of the earlier art colleges in China, was founded at 1948, located at No.25 Shenyang Road, Xigang District, Dalian, Liaoning Province. The college now has two colleges of art and design, covering painting, sculpture, advertising design, environmental design, animation design, media communication and other majors. It is one of the few comprehensive art colleges in China that integrates fine arts, design, cultural creativity and other disciplines.

Dalian Art College is one of the first schools approved by Liaoning Provincial People's Government to offer undergraduate majors, and enjoys a high reputation in the country. The school emphasizes art engineering education, and has established joint cooperative relations with some art colleges in Liaoning Province and other academic organizations at home and abroad, which has strong practicality and sociality in meeting the needs of national and local governments for artistic talents.
