Similar to Fang's poems, Xuan also wrote many poems about Shen Shi from the angle of sympathizing with the lower class. Like "Listening to the Corner"—
The corner of Shenyang City Head grunted, and the old crow flew to the city head.
Children clap their hands and laugh in the street, but children shouldn't drive in the city.
The official is ferocious and rude, and the whip is powerful.
Ask his name, there is nothing, and Tao is a government soldier, husband.
The spring breeze in February is full of grass and trees, and the horn of urging rent is ringing.
The old farmer's rent has been collected, and the shackles are still making profits.
There are hundreds of people who can't argue who dreams of refugees.
You can't see the picture, and you can't get rid of crime.
Orphans and widows walked around the corner and met fierce officials and immortals on the road.
Jinyi Malaysia went out of the family and went back to the restaurant to listen.
If Fang's Random Thoughts is about the sufferings brought to Shenyang people by natural disasters, then Listening to the Corner is about man-made disasters-disasters caused by corrupt government officers and soldiers in the late Qing Dynasty.
Looking at the cities in the late Qing Dynasty from Huaiyuan Gate
The beginning of this poem, accompanied by the "horn" and "crow's crow" on the head of Shenyang City, brings the reader into a sad realm. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, the officers and men of the General Political Department were bullying in the market, "ferocious in appearance" and "flogging the people", even the "children" who could only clap their hands and laugh were not spared! Although it is already the spring breeze in February, the rent has been collected, and the shackles of collecting rent are still profitable. It is really shocking! The poet argued: there are really a hundred people in this world, and it is difficult to argue with them, so we can only let the officers and men of the government be cruel! The poet asked people, who ever dreamed of photos of refugees? -can't stand this kind of bullying and squeezing, "orphans and widows" go out to escape. At this point, the poet was angered. He drew the "fierce officials" he met on the road and compared them with the refugees coming around the corner. These "fierce officials" rode "great steeds" in "golden clothes" to rob people's homes desperately, and then went back to the pub to listen to music and live a fairy life! It is these people who are the source of people's suffering.
This poem "Listening to the Corner" contrasts the sufferings of the people with the corruption and decline of officials, and shows the poet's feelings of love and hate.
Xuan can write such a poem with a sense of justice, which is inseparable from his legendary life experience. Liu Chunxuan, whose name is Dongting,No. Dan Cliff, is a new citizen of Fengtianfu. He was smart and studious since he was a child, and received the traditional imperial examination education. When he was weak, he became a disciple. He paid tribute in the 12th year of Tongzhi (1873) and was promoted in the 8th year of Guangxu (1882). But after that, "the fifth spring official was not the first", so he gave up the pursuit of being an official. Since then, I have read widely and devoted myself to studying practical knowledge such as astronomy, geography, medicine and arithmetic. He paid special attention to the research of military science, and once wrote a book, "Gunology", which was unprecedented and amazing. At that time, General Zuo appreciated Xuan very much and recommended him to be in charge of Liuhe Project. After Liu Chunxuan took over, he personally surveyed and planned and built the Liuhe levee. After its completion, the levee remained intact for many years. Later, in order to eradicate the flood in Liaohe River, he changed the traditional method of passive dike construction and waterproof, and advocated dredging the alkali river (now Shuangtaizi River) with serious siltation, and dividing the main stream of Liaohe River into Bohai Sea through the alkali river. His plan to harness the river was recognized by people of insight, until Iktangga, the general of Shengjing, finally dredged the Alkali River, which made the Liaohe River have two estuaries and greatly reduced the flood. At that time, people praised it and erected a monument to commemorate it. From then on, in the past, only Shi Wenda became famous in Xuan and Liaodong and became a celebrity in Liaoshen area.
In the twenty-seventh year of Guangxu (190 1), Xuan was hired as a lecturer by Fengtian Cuisheng College, becoming the first person in the college to board the forum as a juror. In the 29th year of Guangxu (1903), the Fengtian University, founded by Ceng Qi, the general of Shengjing, was changed to Shengjing Provincial School, and he was appointed as the chief teacher. He has lived in Shenyang for many years, made meticulous contributions to the cultivation of students in Liaoning and Shenyang, and tried to practice the teaching purpose of applying what he has learned.
Liu Chunxuan: Shencheng Handyman
Liu Chun Xuan is well-read, aggressive and honest. In his "Watching the Clouds and Listening to Guan Tao", there are many poems that reflect the miserable life of the people and expose the tyranny of officials. Written in the tenth year of Tongzhi (187 1), after the flood in Jinzhou, Jinzhou is a song, and listening to the horn is also a song, reflecting Shenyang. While attacking social ills, Xuan also showed his love for the land of his hometown and the beautiful scenery of Liaoshen. In his poems about Shenyang, there are many such masterpieces, such as "Shencheng Zayong"-
Wanquan River draws clear water, while white boats swim in aquamarine smelting.
Lotus in June and willow in March are as intoxicating and romantic as Hangzhou.
The poem "white boat" means a white boat. In ancient China, a covered boat was called a "boat".
"Lan Yu" refers to sedan chair. "Leaves" means that men and women go out.
When Xuan worked in Shenyang, "Wanquan Fishing" has been selected as one of the eight scenic spots in Shenyang by many famous artists, and it is a must-see place for people. Liu Chun Xuan worked in Cuisheng Academy, left the East Gate, not far from Kuixing Building, and arrived at Wanquan River. When I visited many times, my feelings were deep, so my love was endless.
Xuan described the magnificent scenery of Wanquan River in Shen Cheng Zayong, and expressed his sincere praise and love for the beautiful scenery of Wanquan River. His poetry style is simple, his language is fresh, his writing is beautiful and his feelings are blazing. At the beginning of the poem, "Wanquan River" points out the place, "clean stream" points out the spring, and "white boat and blue sky" introduces the tour. The scenery is mixed and fascinating. "Lotus in June and Willow in March" highlights the most distinctive scenery of Wanquan River in spring and summer: the emerald willow lotus, which also makes the poem colorful. At the end of the sentence, "as charming as Hangzhou" compares the charming scenery of Wanquan River with the West Lake in Hangzhou. It is the poet's praise for Wanquan River's passion, and his love for Shencheng has reached its climax.
It's a pity that Xuan's beloved Shencheng soon fell into hot water. In the second year (1904) when he was appointed as the head teacher of Shengjing school, Japanese-Russian imperialism fought a Japanese-Russian war on the land and sea in northeast China. 1at the beginning of February, 904, Japan attacked Russian troops stationed in Lushunkou fortress in an undeclared way. On the third day, Russia declared war on Japan, and the war and battle between Japan and Russia to carve up the northeast of China began. Russian troops soon occupied Fengtian. The school buildings of provincial schools were occupied by Russian troops, books were moved out, professors and students were scattered, and classes were interrupted. The authorities were forced to announce the closure of schools in the province in June. Liu Chunxuan left Fengtian City with full regrets, retreated to Yiwulu Mountain, and lived in Mu Ye Villa where Dumen couldn't get out.
However, he is still worried about the black land he is attached to. He is still thinking hard about the flood in Liaohe River, concentrating on planning the general plan of river regulation and writing a systematic "River Dredging General Plan". Chen Shouyu, a member of the persuasion Committee, gave the suggestion to Zhao Cishan, the magistrate of Fengtian. His suggestion was adopted, but it was shelved because the authorities failed to raise funds. Although the ideal of serving his hometown was frustrated again, he remained firm. When Fengtianfu authorities asked him to draw another river map, he immediately set out to draw a map of Shenyang river and coastal waters day and night. He is looking forward to the early completion of the water conservancy project that he participated in to control the floods in Liuhe and Liaohe, benefiting the people in his hometown. /kloc-in the winter of 0/905, Liu Chun's illness became more and more serious. On his deathbed, he roamed the sky, wandered to his native land, wrote five poems about immortals and died at the age of 59.
Liu Chun Xuan ink, one of the "Three Masters of Shenyang"
Xuan, a gifted scholar in Liaodong, a famous educator in Kanto, a water conservancy expert and an outstanding representative of practical learning in the late Qing Dynasty, died before his life ambition was fully displayed. Later generations commented with regret: Xuan "failed to learn all the world in his life, but did not show its usefulness." What a pity! " Liu Chunxuan has been dead for more than 100 years. 100 years later, not only did he care about the Liaohe River day and night before his death, but the development and construction of Shenyang City was far from comparable.
If the "Lotus in June and Willow in March" by Wanquan River once gave him the feeling of "intoxicating like Hangzhou", then now, Shenyang has become a famous historical and cultural city and a scenic spot capital that makes the world sit up and take notice. Liu Chunxuan's famous phrase "intoxicating like Hangzhou" is not only more worthy of the name, but also can be gradually revised to "intoxicating like Hangzhou". I think if Liu Chun knew from the grave, he would laugh!
