Adult college entrance examination, referred to as adult college entrance examination, is an entrance examination for adult colleges and universities in China to select qualified graduates to enter higher-level academic education. It belongs to the national education series, is included in the national enrollment plan, participates in the national enrollment examination, and is accepted by all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government. Higher vocational college entrance examination is a way of enrolling students. Higher vocational colleges recruit secondary vocational graduates to take the "3+ professional skills course certificate" exam.

Different test objects

Adult college entrance examination is aimed at adults, while higher vocational education is mainly aimed at candidates from vocational high schools, technical secondary schools and other secondary vocational and technical schools.

The form of class is different.

Adult college entrance examination is divided into amateur classes and full-time classes, but there is no requirement for higher vocational education.

The content of the exam is different.

Adult college entrance examination mainly takes cultural courses, and there will be professional assessment before the cultural examination in higher vocational colleges.

Different academic recognition

Some qualifications of adult college entrance examination are recognized by the state, such as adult education classes run by some normal universities or key universities, which have high gold content, but higher vocational examinations are not recognized in this respect.

Different certificates

Candidates in higher vocational college entrance examination need to obtain "3+ professional skills course certificate", which is not required in adult college entrance examination.
