The database of Hong Kong literature established by the University Library System of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the University Library System of the Chinese University of Hong Kong held a press conference at 3: 00 p.m. on July 2 1 2003 in the special collection room of Hong Kong literature in the university library. China Student Weekly (online edition) was officially launched for public use. Officiating guests included Lin, former president of China Student Weekly, Lu, director of the Hong Kong Literature Research Center of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dr. Stanley, curator of the library system of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Ms. Wong Pan Mingzhu, senior assistant curator.

Guests attending the press conference were like Yun, including Mr. Wen Lou, Mr. Gu, Mr. He Zhenya, Mr. Wang, Ms. Zhang Minhui, Professor Huang Zicheng, Mr. Huang Weibo and Professor Deng Shiliang.

China Student Weekly (Online Edition) is one of the electronic items of Hong Kong literature database periodicals in the library system of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. At present, the manuscript of China Student Weekly is kept in the Hong Kong Literature Special collection room in the university library. In order to enable readers all over the world to browse this historic publication, the library is authorized to scan more than 70,000 materials in the whole publication on the Internet. In addition to providing full-text pictures, it also has various retrieval functions such as author, title and full text for research.
