What do you think is the most obedient to the combination of Chinese and western?
My first thought is the folk art museum of China Academy of Fine Arts designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. The whole museum is from high to low depending on the mountain. The roof of the museum draws lessons from the Xuanwa roof of traditional buildings in the south of the Yangtze River, which is patchy and harmonious with the surrounding natural environment and architectural culture in this area. However, if we peel off the skin of the building and directly look at the internal space and even the structural structure, it is not difficult to find that this is a modern building. This project can be said to have successfully integrated the characteristics of China architecture into modern architecture. Although it is slightly deliberate, it is above the standard from design to completion.
