The number of fire exits in each fire zone or each floor in a fire zone of public buildings shall be determined by calculation, and shall not be less than 2. Public buildings that meet one of the following conditions can be provided with 1 emergency exits or 1 evacuation stairs:
1, except for nurseries and kindergartens, the first floor of a single-storey public building or a multi-storey public building with a construction area of not more than 200m2 and not more than 50 people;

For a class of high-rise public buildings and a class of high-rise public buildings with a building height greater than 32m, smoke-proof stairwells should be adopted for the evacuation stairs.
The evacuation stairs of podium and second-class high-rise public buildings with a building height of no more than 32m should be closed stairwells.
Note: When a firewall is installed between the podium and the main body of a high-rise building, the evacuation stairs of the podium can be determined according to the requirements of this code for single-storey and multi-storey buildings.
The evacuation stairs of the following multi-storey buildings, except those directly connected with the open verandah, should adopt closed stairwells:
1, medical buildings, hotels, old buildings and buildings with similar functions;
2, set up the building of song and dance entertainment places;
3, shops, libraries, exhibition buildings, conference centers and other similar buildings using bacteria; Other buildings with 4 or 6 floors or above.
The number of evacuation doors in public building rooms should be determined by calculation and should not be less than 2. Except for the rooms located at the end of walkways in nurseries, kindergartens, buildings for the elderly, medical buildings and teaching buildings, rooms meeting one of the following conditions can be provided with 1 evacuation doors:
1. Rooms located between two safety exits or on both sides of bag-shaped walkways, with a construction area of not more than 50m2 for nurseries, kindergartens and buildings for the elderly; Medical buildings and teaching buildings, with a construction area of no more than 75m2;; For other buildings or places, the construction area shall not exceed 120m2.
2. The room located at the end of the aisle has a building area of less than 50m2, the clear width of the evacuation door is not less than 0.90m, or the straight-line distance from any point in the room to the evacuation door is not more than 15m, the building area is not more than 200m2, and the clear width of the evacuation door is not less than1.40m..
3. Rooms with a building area of not more than 50m2 and the number of regular customers not exceeding 15 in song and dance entertainment and projection entertainment places.
The number of evacuation doors in the audience hall or multi-function hall of a theater, cinema, auditorium and gymnasium shall be determined by calculation, and shall not be less than 2, and shall meet the following requirements:
1. In the audience hall or multi-function hall of a theater, cinema or auditorium, the average number of people evacuated from each evacuation door should not exceed 250; When the capacity exceeds 2,000 people, the average evacuation number of each evacuation door shall not exceed 400 people.
2. In the auditorium of the gymnasium, the average number of evacuees at each evacuation gate should not exceed 400 ~ 700.
