The Behind-the-scenes Production of Saving Deer
1984, inspired by the story of Dunhuang Buddhist scriptures, Mr. Liu Jude created a book illustration "Saving Deer with Clips", which won the first prize of national excellent book painting as soon as it was published. Later, it was taken a fancy to by Shanghai Art Studio and made into an art film "Save the Deer with a Clip".

Moreover, in the initial creation, the shape of the clip is also quite painstaking, and it is easy to draft. Considering that Clip was a teenager in the Northern Wei Dynasty, Mr. Liu Jude absorbed the modeling factors of Dunhuang murals and finally determined the line drawing image of Clip. In addition, the background and props such as forests and mountains in art films are also drawn according to the images in Dunhuang murals.
