Mathematics focuses on the analysis of quantity and change, as well as the study of structure and spatial model. Through the use of symbols and numbers, combined with abstract logical reasoning and judgment, students can learn professional knowledge and explore on this basis. Mathematics majors are generally divided into basic mathematics and applied mathematics.
Basic mathematics (mathematics)
Basic mathematics, also called pure mathematics, studies the inherent laws of mathematical structure itself, and studies the quantitative relationship and spatial form of things in pure form. Differential geometry, mathematical physics and partial differential equations all belong to the category of basic mathematics.
Applied mathematics (applied mathematics)
Applied mathematics includes two parts, one is related to application, and the other is the application of mathematics, that is, using mathematics as a tool to explore and solve problems in science, engineering and sociology.
Applied mathematics is mainly used in two fields:
First, computers, with the rapid development of computers, need a large number of software engineers who understand mathematics to develop the corresponding database;
The second is economics, many of which need very professional mathematics to analyze. Many related courses of applied mathematics are designed on the basis of economic examples. Employment orientation: generally doing data analysis and software development in IT companies. In addition, there are many fields such as actuarial science, international economy and trade, chemistry and pharmacy, and communication engineering.
