What are the requirements for applying for business in Hong Kong?
As one of the four largest financial centers in the world, Hong Kong has a stable and mature market. Coupled with the advantages of complete legal system, free flow of information and gathering of professionals, Hong Kong has always occupied an important position in the international financial market. Naturally, business subjects in Hong Kong also make students flock to them.

But what conditions do you need to meet to apply for Hong Kong business?

The application threshold of the University of Hong Kong is very high, especially for business majors. In addition to your academic background (undergraduate major, average score) and IELTS, some majors also need to provide GMAT scores and even work experience. For example, individual majors in HKU and HKUST require applicants to have at least two years of full-time work experience. For fresh graduates, they must have a good academic background and relevant internship experience in order to have good competitiveness.

In addition to IELTS, average score and GMAT score, some students are not majoring in business, but they are interested in business, so they will choose business across majors when applying for studying abroad. Many majors welcome interdisciplinary application, but compared with the applicants of this major, they will put forward higher requirements for academic performance (or must have taken some designated courses).

In addition, there are some business majors in Hong Kong schools that are specially aimed at interdisciplinary students, and only students with no relevant background or little relevant experience can apply. This kind of course usually covers a certain subject comprehensively and is a good entrance to help students enter new fields.
