The general input method has an on-screen keyboard, and we can directly input relevant special symbols with the on-screen keyboard. Take "Wu Bi Input Method" as an example: click the input method icon (En) on the right side of the taskbar with the left mouse button to open the input method selection menu, click "Wu Bi Input Method" (the input method created by the author himself, so it is shown as vest Wu Bi in the picture), and then click the right mouse button on the keyboard button in the input method status bar to open the keyboard selection list box. * * There are 13 kinds, click.
At this time, users can use two methods to input: the first is to directly click the keys on the screen keyboard with the left mouse button to input the corresponding special symbols, and the other is to directly input them with the keyboard.
○ symbol column input method
Symbol bar is a new toolbar in Word 2000, which provides a convenient and direct method for inserting some common special symbols. The specific operation steps are as follows:
1. Click menu view/toolbar/symbol bar.
2. Click the position where special symbols need to be inserted, and directly click the corresponding symbols in the symbol bar with the left mouse button to insert symbols in the current position of the document.
3. Customize the symbol toolbar: The symbols on the symbol toolbar are not immutable. Users can customize the symbol toolbar according to their needs, and add their own commonly used special symbols on it. The specific operation steps are as follows:
① Click the menu "Insert/Special Symbol". In the Custom Symbol Bar window, there are six special symbols commonly used by users. ② Click "Show Symbol Bar" to display the current status of the symbol bar at the bottom of the window, select a symbol with the left mouse button, and then drag it to the toolbar button you want to change to complete the transformation of a button symbol, or click the button symbol you want to change on the toolbar to complete the symbol replacement. (3) Click OK, and the symbol displayed in the symbol bar is the user-defined setting.
4. In fact, symbols can also be inserted directly from the custom symbol bar window. The specific method is: move the input position to the position where you want to insert the symbol, open the custom symbol bar window, double-click the symbol to be inserted, or select the symbol to be inserted, and click OK directly to insert the symbol at the current position.
○ symbol window input method
It is convenient and quick to insert special symbols using the symbol bar, but there are too few symbols displayed on the symbol bar at a time. You can only insert one special symbol directly using the "Custom Symbol Bar" window at a time, and you can't insert different symbols in different positions when the window is open. These problems basically do not exist when using the symbol window. The operation method of inserting symbols is as follows:
1. Click the menu command "Insert/Symbol" to open the symbol window.
2. Click the Symbol tab and select a font in the font drop-down list box. It is worth noting that each font in the list corresponds to a batch of symbols.
3. After selecting a font, select the corresponding symbol subset from the "subset" drop-down list box, which can speed up the search for symbols. Click Insert to insert the corresponding symbol in the current position of the Word editing window, or double-click the symbol to insert directly.
4. If you need to insert different symbols in different positions, on the premise that the symbol window is open, move the focus to the editing window, directly move the input position, and then insert the corresponding symbols by using the above method.
5. You can also use the Special Characters tab to insert some special characters, such as long lines, hyphens, registrars, etc.
Formula editor input method
Formula Editor is a very practical component of Office 2000. The default installation status is optional, so it is generally not installed, and we can add it.
To insert a special symbol with a mathematical formula, you can perform the following steps: Click Insert/Object to open the object selection window, select Microsoft Formula 3.0 in the new list box, and then click OK to open the formula editing window. At this time, we can see that the menu bar of Word 2000 has changed, the toolbar has disappeared, and only the formula editor has a toolbar. At this time, the input will be displayed in a dotted box, and we can input special symbols by clicking different buttons on the toolbar with shortcut keys or the left mouse button. Each button on the toolbar corresponds to a special symbol, and the commonly used formulas and symbols in mathematics, physics and chemistry can basically be found in this toolbar. After entering, you can exit the formula editor window and return to the word editing window by clicking anywhere outside the input box. If you need to change the input, you can double-click the object to open the formula editing window to edit and modify again.
