Mathematics learning in the fifth grade is different from that in the lower grade. The knowledge is more abstract and more difficult. Some children are difficult to adapt for a while, have no good study habits, and are easily polarized. Parents should be psychologically prepared, and some students who don't study hard enough will definitely regress. First of all, about the classroom

Forty minutes in class is the most important and effective. A child who can learn must actively and seriously participate in learning in class, both hands-on and brains. So is our class. I have carefully observed that those students with poor grades are often students who are not attentive in class, which must attract our attention. In fact, classroom learning requires students to concentrate on the class. However, some students will not attend classes, and they will always be reminded by teachers, which will inevitably affect their academic performance. These students don't listen to lectures in class and often don't do their homework at home. So when can they improve their grades?

Generally speaking, what I just said is the study routine, and good study habits are lifelong benefits. Habits are not formed in a day or two. But I think it should be standardized, strict and persistent. Why should I emphasize this point? Because I think our class is not doing well in this respect and needs some efforts to strengthen it. It can also inspire parents, encourage children to think, especially think independently, and let children ask questions. At the same time, thinking in the district is still a habit, which requires parents to cooperate with the school for continuous education, and good habits will eventually be formed.

Second, teaching methods.

In my math class, I like to ask individual students to get up and answer questions, and I seldom use collective answers. First, I think it is helpful to cultivate students' thinking ability and concentrate. Suppose students are distracted in class and can't answer questions well, then students' attention is very concentrated. Moreover, when a single student answers, every child can think positively, instead of chatting casually with the whole class without thinking at all. Second, it helps to cultivate students' expressive ability and establish students' self-confidence. From the first month of school, all the students in our class bravely stood up and expressed their ideas. They were very confident. Although sometimes the idea is not very correct, I give them great praise. I often say in class: "As long as you stand up bravely and express your thoughts, right or wrong, you are the best." Through the above practice, basically all students can pay attention to their own spirit and think positively in math class.

Third, math homework:

1, give your children more confidence and tell them that you can do it. I know that many parents are very concerned about their children's studies, especially their homework, but my understanding is that parents should talk less and let their children do it themselves. I have a relative's boy. In the third grade, every time he did his math homework, he shouted, Mom, look at this problem, and then he shouted again, Mom, look at this problem. After a long time, it seems that I can't do my math homework and think. My mother always comes to see me. So, if your child has this kind of situation, please tell your child that mom believes you can do it. Try it yourself. You can check the child after he finishes his homework, and if there is a problem, you can explain it to him again. In this way, children can learn to think instead of relying on you for everything.

For homework, I also want to say to parents, please pay more attention to the seriousness of children's homework. Why do you say that? Because the seriousness of a homework reflects the degree of concentration of children when doing homework. The seriousness of children's homework shows that children are very careful when writing homework, so the effect that homework can achieve will be very good, which has played a role in consolidating and improving. If the child's homework is scribbled, it means that the child is careless and half-hearted, so it is useless to write 100 times. What kind of homework is serious homework? I made it clear to the children that they all know how to write it. So if children don't do their homework carefully, please supervise them to rewrite it.

3, for correcting homework, that is, students' homework is wrong, some students have good habits and can finish teaching soon, because learning is a process of correcting mistakes and then improving. This process is very important. Without correcting mistakes, it can be said that students have not made progress, but some students are very procrastinating, dragging their feet, holding wrong homework in their hands and playing with pens for half a day until school is over. Relatively speaking, students don't have too many wrong questions and can correct them in a short time. If they don't do this, they will be put off. There are many vehicles and many unsafe factors, so children can't be left at school to correct mistakes, and math homework is arranged every other day. So, especially if you think your child has a bad habit of procrastination, please pay more attention when you go home at night, help him explain it and tell him to correct the mistakes in his homework the day before yesterday as soon as possible.

Many parents pin their hopes of educating their children on teachers, thinking that children only listen to their teachers and not their own. I don't agree with this view. We hope that parents will give more support and participation.

4. Training for Excellence: For some students with excellent math scores, it is impossible to meet their needs by doing some topics in math books. I suggest that parents can buy him an Olympic math book to train his thinking. If you want to improve your child's grades, it is very necessary to train in Olympic Mathematics. If you want your child to be admitted to a key high school when he grows up, the thinking training of Olympic Mathematics is essential.

I just finished the exam this semester, and the overall situation is good, but some problems have also been exposed. For example, some students' concepts are not clear enough, and they lose more points in filling in the blanks; Some students are not careful enough, which is actually a microcosm of not studying seriously at ordinary times.
