Hua's achievements in mathematical research are mainly found in his book Xing Computing Draft, published in 1882. 1897 reprint * * * contains 6 books and 27 volumes. In his works such as Prescription, etc., he put forward a new method for finding the integer roots of higher-order equations with integral coefficients-"open root method", and Li commented that this method was "ten times simpler than the old method". In the comparison of products and other works, he discussed the role of difference method in the study of the accumulation of algebraic integer polynomials and products. Among them, "multiplier square product comparison table" and "sum comparison reduction table" have certain significance in combinatorial mathematics and difference theory. In his works such as Solving Several Roots, he discussed the "screening method" and proved that Fermat's prime number theorem is similar to Euler's proof method by multiplication and sharp pile. His achievements in mathematics were highly praised by the mathematics community at that time. His book "Talking about Learning Calculation" discusses mathematical theory, mathematical thoughts and methods of learning mathematics. Generally speaking, his research was limited by the development level of mathematics in China at that time, and his achievements were mainly in the early discrete mathematics. The technique of product comparison can be regarded as his masterpiece. The books translated by China in cooperation with foreign scholars are minerals, geology, meteorology and military engineering, and the other is mathematics. Together with John Flair, an Englishman, he translated 25 volumes of Algebra (1872), 8 volumes of Tracing the Origin of Differential Products (1874), 12 volumes of Trigonometry (1877) and Algebraic Problems.
