Humans have mastered the solution of quadratic equation with one variable for a long time, but the research of cubic equation with one variable has made slow progress. Mathematicians in ancient China, Greece and India all tried their best to study the cubic equation with one variable, but the solution they invented can only solve the cubic equation in a special form, but it is not suitable for the cubic equation in a general form.
In Europe in the16th century, with the development of mathematics, the cubic equation of one variable also has a fixed solution. In many mathematical documents, the formula for finding the roots of cubic equations is called "cardano formula", which was discovered by Italian mathematician cardano. So, is this really the case?
In the history of mathematics, the first person to find the general solution of cubic equation was actually nicolo Feng Tana, another Italian mathematician in16th century. Nicolo Feng Tana was hacked by French soldiers who invaded Italy when he was in his teens. He almost died, but his father who was with him was killed. Although Fontana saved her life, the injury on her tongue made Fontana unable to pronounce for life, and people nicknamed him Tarta Ria (stuttering). Over time, Tarta Leah became his tuba, but no one remembered his real name. Even in many later math books, Feng Tana was directly called "Tarta Riya".
Without his father, his mother couldn't afford his education, but through hard work, Feng Tana finally taught himself and became one of the most accomplished Italian scholars in16th century.
After years of exploration and research, Fontana found a method to find the root of a cubic equation in a general form with a very clever method. However, scholars at that time were very selfish. Once they find something, they will keep it a secret and challenge their opponents to become famous. This is a bit like the martial arts master in China's martial arts novels, who always likes to beat others to prove his leadership. After Feng Tana found a way to find the root of a cubic equation, another famous figure in mathematics, Friob Bubu, challenged him. The famous figure didn't believe that Feng Tana, a hillbilly, could solve the cubic equation. So,1February 22, 535, the two sides held a "Huashan sword", and Fontana won a total victory. This competition made him famous in Europe from now on, and people came to ask for advice in an endless stream. Naturally, Mr. Feng kept this secret and didn't want to disclose his findings, only prepared to publish them in his masterpiece later.
At that time, another mathematician, cardano, was very interested in Feng Tana's invention, but he was refused several times for advice. However, this gentleman is persistent, can talk and debate. Several sweet-talking bombings finally made Mr. Feng dizzy and got what he wanted. This card teacher is really a talent, with a high degree of understanding. Through the comparative practice of solving cubic equations, he soon thoroughly uncovered the secret of Fontana, and then wrote it into his masterpiece Dafa, but did not mention Fontana's name. Feng Tana was angered and wanted to have an open debate in Milan and cardano. I didn't expect a large group of believers in cardano to oppose Feng Tana's copying of Mr. Ka's achievements. Feng Tana can't find effective evidence to prove his innocence. Moreover, in order to silence Feng Tana forever, cardano hired a murderer, and Feng Tana was unjustly killed. However, it is also said that Feng Tana foresaw that cardano would probably kill him and escaped from Milan in the dark on the day of the debate.
Later, people who knew the truth gradually called the "cardano Formula" the "Tarta Ria-cardano Formula", and history finally recovered its true colors.
