Nowadays, almost all schools will assign a head teacher and a counselor to each class. In the first two years, I taught math teachers in Class 3 and Class 4, and served as a counselor in Class 3. In mathematics teaching, I treat the two classes equally. Class 3 is only for counselors, but I will gradually find that class 3 will be much more comfortable, because students will cooperate with me more, and of course there will be differences in grades. I often hear classmates in Class 4 say that I am partial to Class 3 in occasional chats. First, I'll try to explain. Even though I admit that I am closer to the children in Class 3 because of the counselor, I am not partial to any class. But primary school students don't think so. Their idea is simple. They saw that in many activities, the teacher stood in the position of Class 3, which means favoring Class 3.
I changed a group of students this year, which happened to be Class 3 and Class 4. The difference is that I am the head teacher of Class 3. At the beginning of school, colleagues chatted with each other. Everyone says that you are the head teacher of Class 3, so it is definitely better to go to Class 3. What they say seems inevitable. And I think, just being more familiar with the children in Class 3 will not have much influence on mathematics teaching. However, by the third week, the situation was very obvious. The trend of 3-week class teachers is far more than that of 2-year counselors. It is not excluded that the discipline of Class 3 is better than that of Class 4. I don't rule out a few mischievous people in Class 4, but by the third week, some students had told me, "Teacher, you are always with the classmates in Class 3", which was full of jealousy.
Probably many teachers have this situation, right? Please support the gods!
