Jiangsu Xinhai Senior High School originated from Pu 'ai Middle School established in 1930. It is the first national demonstration high school in Lianyungang, the first batch of four-star schools in Jiangsu Province, the first batch of 18 key high schools in Jiangsu Province, the first batch of high-quality demonstration high schools in Jiangsu Province, and the only pilot school for cultivating innovative talents in ordinary high schools in Jiangsu Province. At present, the school has 1 province's first batch of primary and secondary school curriculum base construction projects (only four in the province): condensing the thoughts of famous mathematicians and releasing the potential of innovative talents. There are six provincial curriculum bases: provincial biology curriculum base, provincial living Chinese curriculum base, provincial environmental chemistry practice curriculum base, provincial high school physics modern optics practice curriculum base, high school mathematics curriculum base based on the research of famous mathematicians' educational thoughts, and provincial high school ecological English curriculum base; 1 provincial chemistry discipline development and innovation center, two provincial forward-looking teaching reform experimental projects of basic education: "Reconstruction of teaching evaluation system after course selection", "Construction of volleyball museum: exploration of improving students' sports core literacy", 1 provincial primary and secondary school students' character promotion and cultivation project, the first volleyball museum in China and the first century-old Chinese studies college in China have been completed.
