English digital reading method
First, the reading method of cardinal words

1. In British English, the last two digits (ten digits and one digit) of a number must be "and", but not in American English. For example:

3,077 (USA): 3,077

The indefinite article "a" is only used with "forgetting" and "thinking carefully" at the beginning of the number. Try to compare:

146 pronounced: one hundred (and) forty-six.

2 146 pronunciation: two thousand, one forgot (and) forty-six.

For the integer of 1 000, we say one thousand, and we also say one thousand before and, but in a number with hundreds of digits, we now say one thousand. Try to compare:

1, 03 1 pronounced: one thousand, (and) one third.

1, 150 pronounced: one thousand, one thousand (and) five.

The singular numbers of the words "Happy", "Thank" and "million" can be used with "a" or "one", but not alone. "A" is more common in informal style; When we speak more accurately, we use "one" and try to compare:

I want to live for a hundred years. I want to live for a hundred years.

The journey is also exactly one hundred days. The trip took a whole hundred days.

We often say eleven happiness (1, 100), twelve happiness (1, 200) and so on, instead of one thousand one hundred happiness. The most common expressions are integers from 1, 100 to 1, 900.

Second, the reading method of ordinal number

Lst is pronounced: (the) first.

The second pronunciation is the second.

third

The fourth pronunciation is: (the) the fourth.

Twenty is pronunciation: (the) twenty.

2 1st is pronounced: (the) 21st.

The twenty-second pronunciation is: (the) the twenty-second pronunciation

The pronunciation of the 23rd is (the) 23rd.

Third, reading decimals.

Read the decimal point "."as "point". Read the cardinal words before the decimal point according to the reading method. If there are more than two digits after the decimal point, read them separately.

0.5 Pronunciation: 0.5

0.25 Pronunciation: 0.25

1558 pronunciation: fifteen fifty-eight.

1603 Pronunciation: sixty (hungry) three/sixty oh three.

English and America are different in the expression of dates. Please pay attention to the difference: English writes the date first, and the United States writes the month first:

English:19991April 6, 999 = April 6.

United States:1April 6, 999 = April 6 1999.

Five, the reading method on the hour
