What is comparison in primary school mathematics?
The length of the rectangle is 6 cm and the width is 3 cm. We can compare these two quantities,

The length is several times the width, and the formula is: 6 ÷ 3 = 2. We can also directly say, Changhe.

The ratio of width is 6 to 3, which means: 6: 3.

So the ratio in the textbook is defined like this, and the division of two numbers is also called the ratio of two numbers.

In other words, when two quantities are divided, we can express them in the form of ratio.

Express it. The former term of the ratio is equivalent to the dividend in the division formula, and the latter term is equivalent to the dividend in the division formula.

Both ratio and division are expressions when two quantities are divided.
