Fractionation is called reduction for short.
Simplification of algebraic expressions includes shifting terms, merging similar terms and removing brackets. Simplified formula is generally the simplest formula, and the number of items is reduced.
Solving equations can also be regarded as a simplified process.
For example:
1、3a+a=4a
2、2a+4=2(a+2)
The simplification of complex fractions is generally from bottom to top, from left to right, in turn. If the numerator part and denominator part of a complex number fraction are in the form of a mixture of fractions and decimals, it can be handled according to the elementary arithmetic method of fractions and decimals. That is, divide decimals into numbers, or simplify fractions into decimals, and then simplify them. When the numerator part and denominator part are unified into decimals, the method of simplification is intermediate simplification, and the decimals are regarded as integers.
