Report on how to improve the computing ability of primary school students
Computing ability is an essential ability for students to learn mathematics, and it is also the basis of mathematics learning. Cultivating and improving students' computing ability is also one of the important tasks of primary school mathematics. The accuracy and speed of calculation will directly affect students' learning quality. Many students can't do the questions, but because of carelessness such as inattention and copying the wrong questions, the final result is wrong. This year I am a math teaching task for the fourth grade. In view of the original intention of students' mistakes in homework, I analyzed several problems that should be paid attention to:

First of all, grasp the dribs and drabs and cultivate students' good computing habits.

A large number of facts show that the lack of serious study attitude and study habits is one of the important reasons for students' calculation errors. Therefore, teachers should educate students and develop the following good calculation habits.

1, the habit of concentrating on proofreading. Ask students to do three checks in their homework: check with the original question after copying; The figures in vertical position should be checked with those in horizontal position; The figures in the horizontal direction should be checked with the figures in the vertical direction.

2, the habit of active inspection. Checking calculation can not only ensure the correctness of calculation, but also cultivate students' meticulous learning attitude.

3. The habit of correcting in time. Errors in homework can be corrected collectively if they are * * *; If it is individual, let the students correct it in time, find out the cause of the error and avoid similar mistakes in the future.

4. Develop the good habit of standardizing writing. The writing of numbers and operation symbols in the topic must conform to the specifications and be clear and clear. The spacing between numbers should be appropriate, the vertical handwriting on the draft should be clear and the numbers should be aligned.

In addition, teachers should set an example for students. For example, the examination of questions comes first, and the analysis comes later. The blackboard writing is concise, standardized, focused and clear.

Second, pay attention to oral calculation and lay a good foundation for written calculation.

The Curriculum Standard of Primary Mathematics points out that to cultivate students' computing ability, we should pay attention to basic oral arithmetic training. Oral calculation is not only the basis of estimation, written calculation and simple calculation, but also an important part of calculation ability. Only with strong oral calculation ability can we speed up the written calculation and improve the calculation accuracy. For example, if we calculate 4 18÷53, and regard 53 as the quotient 8 of 50, we find that 53*8=424 is greater than the dividend through oral calculation, so we should reduce the quotient by one, so as to avoid multiplying the quotient 8 by it and find it wrong, and then erase this process, which can greatly improve the calculation speed.

Third, strengthen estimation and promote the development of students' sense of numbers.

The new textbook attaches great importance to the cultivation of students' estimation ability. Practice has proved that cultivating students' estimation consciousness and ability and guiding students to form the habit of "oral calculation-estimation-pen calculation-review" will help students find their own deviations in solving problems in time, rethink and calculate, thus preventing and reducing errors and improving the accuracy of calculation.

Calculation teaching runs through the whole process of mathematics teaching. Only by tamping the foundation can we calculate skillfully and simply on the basis of proficiency. ..
