On the evening of August 8th, the closing ceremony of 2023 China Western Mathematics Invitational Tournament was held in Chongqing Yucai Middle School. This competition * * * attracted 29 teams from central and western China and parts of Asia ***203 students to participate.

Competition awards are divided into team awards, individual first, second and third prizes (gold, silver and bronze), among which Chongqing team won the first place, 2 1 person won the gold medal, 22 people won the silver medal and 19 people won the bronze medal.

China Western Mathematical Invitational Tournament (CWMI) is a large-scale mathematical competition founded by chinese mathematical society Olympic Committee in 2002, which was developed on the basis of the Western Mathematical Olympics. This is a mathematical inquiry activity mainly for senior high school students in the central and western regions and parts of Asia.

The West China Mathematical Olympiad (CWMO) is a mathematical competition for middle school students in western provinces of China (including Jiangxi). Organized by the Chinese Mathematical Olympic Committee, it is generally scheduled to be held every year 165438+ 10.

The purpose is to encourage middle school students' interest in learning mathematics in the western region. Since the first competition was held in 200 1, so far, the competition has been held for 20 times in Xi, Lanzhou, Urumqi, Yinchuan, Chengdu, yingtan, Nanning, Guiyang, Kunming and Taiyuan.
