The (1) model is consistent with the facts in logical reasoning.
When dealing with most policy issues, we should not only consider whether the mathematical model itself is correct in logical reasoning, but also pay attention to analyzing whether the parameters in the model are consistent with the facts. The establishment of any model, if the basic assumptions and related data are inconsistent with the facts, the theoretical model itself is no longer correct and has no practical significance. For example, when the government formulates macroeconomic policies, it often establishes some different policy models to assist decision-making. If the data of the model is artificially fabricated and cannot truly reflect the reality in the economic field, the result can be imagined.
(2) Problems that should be paid attention to in establishing mathematical model.
① The stipulation of the quantity of objective things determines the need to use different mathematical methods. It is precisely because any object has the stipulation of quantity that its function is often different when solving different problems. Some of them are difficult to succeed by mathematical methods because of the complexity of the research object; Some of them are not yet mature or formed because of the mathematical theory suitable for studying this phenomenon.
② The establishment and application of mathematical model is meaningful only in the unification of theories related to specific phenomena. When applying mathematics, we should not only distinguish the mathematical form of scientific knowledge from its practical content, but also make people get something valuable for understanding reality from the reasonable explanation of mathematical symbols and formulas.
③ The variable values provided in the mathematical model are obtained through actual measurement. The measurement results mainly come from people with obvious value tendency, and the participation of this subject will often change the natural state of social relations. For example, when conducting a questionnaire survey, the respondents will give different information according to the guidance of the investigators, which will lead to the uncertainty of the measurement.
④ The success of the mathematical model mainly depends on the accuracy of its prediction. The uncertainty of social and economic development has brought great difficulties to the prediction of the implementation results of policy programs. A large number of practices have proved that it is almost impossible to accurately predict the actual effect of a policy. This is strong evidence provided by those who doubt using models to predict social development.
⑤ The results provided by mathematical model should not only be tested by practice, but also guide practice. In the social system, the phenomenon tested by practice is irreversible. Due to the change and development of many parameters, when the conclusion cannot be judged strictly in the original background, the error brought by the practical test of related theories will be higher, but this does not mean that it cannot be tested, but it brings complexity to the test.
⑥ Every member of society, whether it is a policy subject or a policy object, treats people and things in society according to a specific value orientation and code of conduct. It is difficult to observe the problem objectively without value judgment. When building a model, this background will directly or indirectly affect the quality of building a model. The study of "value neutrality" put forward by some western scholars is impossible in practice.
