The International Mathematical Union (IMU) was founded at the International Congress of Mathematicians on 1950. At present, * * * has 65 member countries. Its main tasks are: 1. Promote international exchanges in the field of mathematics; 2. Organize the International Congress of Mathematicians and various international specialized conferences on mathematics between the two congresses; 3. Awards, mainly Fields Prize. The Executive Committee of the International Mathematical Union was elected at the Congress of the Member States of the International Mathematical Union, its highest authority. The participating countries of the International Mathematical Union are divided into five categories, I, II, III, IV and V, due to the size of countries and the degree of mathematical development, and the corresponding number of voting representatives is 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. China, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, Russia, Britain and the United States participated in the 5th International Conference on Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM), which aims to highlight the importance of applied mathematics and establish its position in the international scientific community. It is an international grand meeting to exchange, show and discuss the achievements and development of applied mathematics between applied mathematics and computational mathematics, and between engineers and scientists who use mathematics as a tool. International Mathematical Federation International Mathematical Federation is a non-governmental international academic organization composed of mathematical academic groups from all countries and regions in the world. The purpose of the International Mathematical Union is to promote international cooperation in mathematical research, support and fund the quadrennial international congress of mathematicians and related academic conferences, and encourage and support international mathematical activities that contribute to the development of mathematical science. The International Mathematical Union was founded in August 1950 by mathematical organizations from 22 countries in new york, USA, and its inaugural meeting was held in Italy. In addition to hosting the International Congress of Mathematicians every four years, the International Mathematical Union and its committees also host professional or regional academic conferences every year. Its main publications include Bulletin of the International Mathematical Union, Minutes of the Congress, Annual Report and Family Directory of Mathematicians in the World. The organization of the International Mathematical Federation is the member congress and the executive committee, and its working committees are: the Mathematical Development and Exchange Committee and the International Mathematical Education Committee.
