I think, there is no foundation at all, and it may be a bit difficult to learn. Trigonometric function is learned in the next semester, and it is a C-level test center in the college entrance examination. There are many transformations of trigonometric functions, and the conceptual skills are very strong. Self-study is not easy. However, if you read directly, it is not difficult to do some simple questions. I suggest that you can learn some basic concepts first, and then try the college entrance examination questions after you have mastered them. (usually vector test)
Good luck!
