Summary: How to guide children to perceive the usefulness and interest of numbers in life?
Kindergarten education is comprehensive and enlightening. As a teacher, how can we guide children to discover the numbers in life? The following is my opinion:

First, understand the numbers in life from the perspective of life

The guide points out that "guide children to be interested in the phenomena of numbers and quantities in the surrounding environment, initially construct the concept of numbers, and learn to solve problems in life with simple mathematical methods". For example, when we take a walk at lunch, we often hear children talking endlessly: "We have come a long way!" "There are many trees over there!" "My steps are bigger than yours" and so on, so I thought: How can I let them know the length and height? The next morning when we were chatting, I threw the question to the children. They have many ideas, some say to measure with a rope, some say to measure with a ruler, and so on. This shows that children are interested in this activity. The length and height of objects are measured by children with tools. Understand the application and function of measurement in life.

Second, perceive the numbers in life from the game

The guide puts forward that "you can feel the quantitative relationship of things from the game and experience the importance and fun of numbers". For example, children in large classes will play skipping rope and long jump in the morning activities. We can prepare a notebook for each child and encourage them to record their activities by counting and measuring to evaluate their ranking. Feel the continuity between numbers and understand the simple relationship between quantity and ranking by counting.

In the "beautiful community" construction activities, when children were discussing the appearance of their own community, I asked as a participant, "How many floors are there in the buildings in the community?" At this time, children will be particularly excited. Some said, "My family lives on the fourth floor, 40 1", while others said, "My family lives on the eighth floor, 803". In this kind of communication, children will feel the use of numbers in life.

Third, the home cooperates to capture the figures in life.

According to the Guide, "the family is an important partner of kindergartens, strive for parents' participation and help parents improve their educational ability". We can communicate with parents and guide them to train their children to observe the numbers in life, such as the change of the number of seconds at traffic lights, the number of trees on both sides of the road, the difference of license plates, etc., through leaving the park to talk, parents' gardens and class blogs. Let children feel the reality, feel the influence of numbers in life, and know that learning mathematics is not a kind of hay but an interesting and happy thing.
