1, Introduction to Mathematics and Applied Mathematics
Mathematics and applied mathematics majors train senior professionals who master the basic theories and methods of mathematical science, have the ability to use mathematical knowledge and solve practical problems with computers, have received preliminary training in scientific research, and can engage in research and teaching in science and technology, education and economics departments or engage in practical application, development, research and management in production, operation and management departments.
2. Introduction to Information and Computing Science.
The major of information and computational science (formerly known as computational mathematics, 1987 renamed computational mathematics and its application software, 1998 renamed it information and computational science by the Ministry of Education) is based on the information field.
Computer science and technology major combining mathematics with information and computer management. Students majoring in information and computing science have a good mathematical foundation, can skillfully use computers, and initially have the ability to engage in scientific research, solve practical problems and design and develop computer software related to a certain direction in the field of information and computer science.
3. Introduction to Basic Science of Mathematics and Physics.
The major of Basic Science of Mathematical Physics mainly trains outstanding talents with development potential who can engage in basic science teaching and scientific research such as mathematics and physics, especially those with innovative ability in mathematics and physics, and also trains new talents with good mathematical foundation for other disciplines with higher requirements on mathematical foundation.
After graduation, graduates majoring in basic science of mathematics and physics can engage in research, teaching and application software development in physics, mathematics, information and computing science, computer information processing, economy and finance, or engage in some practical application, technology development, research or management in management departments.
