This major trains compound senior professionals who have solid basic knowledge of mathematics, economy, finance and computer, can skillfully use modern statistical methods and means to collect and analyze data, make statistical inference and prediction on data information of economy, finance and insurance market, and understand both statistical theory and practical application. This discipline has 1 one doctoral program in mechanics, four doctoral programs in general mechanics and mechanical foundation, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics and engineering mechanics, four postdoctoral mobile stations 1 one in first discipline and four master programs. Among them, solid mechanics is a provincial key discipline. The discipline of mechanics has formed six academic echelons, mainly doctoral supervisors and young doctors.
