To cultivate students' observation and imagination, and then stimulate students' creativity, we must first have situations, content for students to observe, space for students to imagine, and attractiveness for students to create.
The practicality, comprehensiveness and application of information technology provide a broad world for teachers to create teaching situations. As long as teachers apply information technology to life practice and let students apply what they have learned in the process of solving practical problems in life and study, they can create colorful teaching situations.
Case 1 designing personal business cards
Use your head, give full play to your imagination, and make personal business cards with distinctive personality with Word. Specific requirements:
(1) The page size is 90mm×55mm, and the page direction is horizontal.
(2) Business cards are two-sided, one in Chinese and the other in English.
(3) The main elements are the logo, the holder's name, position and contact information (to encourage the imagination of the future career).
(4) The design is creative, the layout is reasonable, and the picture color is harmonious.
case analysis
This is one of the teaching situations I have used in my teaching for many years. In the real situation of making personal business cards, word processing teaching design allows students to observe the characteristics and functions of business cards, give full play to their imagination and creativity, and make business cards with distinctive personality. Over the years, both junior high school teaching and junior high school teaching in recent years have been deeply loved by students, which greatly mobilized their creative enthusiasm and emerged a number of excellent business card works.
The creation of the situation should first be open, from the life that students are familiar with, so that students can observe it carefully; Secondly, it is necessary to delimit the scope and determine the theme, so that students can observe it in depth. Business cards originated from life, but only within the scope of business cards.
The creation of space should take giving full play to creativity and imagination, respecting students' hobbies and publicizing individuality as the main goals. The size and elements of business cards are specified in the case, but the design of business card style, logo and outline, the choice of characters and future careers, layout and color matching all leave a broad space for students' creation. In addition, the personalization of business cards has greatly stimulated students' creative desire.
Case 2: Contents and requirements of the first lesson of programming.
Use your head, give full play to your observation and imagination, apply what you have learned and design your first VB program. (Hint: you can't repeat the class examples, you can process and modify them on the basis of the examples, and it's best to design them yourself) Specific requirements:
(1) content is positive.
(2) Use the learned buttons, labels, picture frames and other controls and related attributes.
(3) Use assignment statements.
(4) The interface design is complete, beautiful and practical.
(5) Adjust the form to an appropriate size and fix it.
(6) There is a result button, which can end normally.
case analysis
Algorithm and programming have always been difficult in teaching. How to give full play to students' imagination and creativity and stimulate students' interest in the process of programming is also my long-term exploration and research topic. Based on the principle of cultivating students' information literacy and applying what they have learned to life practice at any time, I have designed and completed a complete set of teaching examples and teaching situations of algorithm and programming.
Common programming practice is a fixed task of specifying interfaces and functions, which is mostly related to mathematics, physics and other disciplines. Imagine how many students are interested in such a task. How can students exert their imagination in these environments bound by rules and regulations? Imagination and creativity can only thrive in a free and open space.
A key point of information processing ability is to see whether students can find problems that can be solved by using what they have learned in class and try to solve them, which is also the key to cultivate students' observation and imagination.
To "use your head, give full play to your observation and imagination, apply what you have learned and design your X VB program." As the beginning of all programming assignments, it is to let students use what they have learned in class to discover or imagine practical problems or ideas that they are interested in and can solve, and then try to solve and realize them, so as to build a free and open space for students to observe, create and think. This open theme, coupled with the "specific requirements" teaching situation, enables students not only to apply what they have learned, but also to innovate boldly.
Students design a program in each class. From the initial imitation example to the final complete self-conception and self-design, every student has gone through a process from scratch, from vagueness to clarity and gradual innovation. Many students enjoy it, and often email me the debugged programs in the early hours of the morning, which really experiences the joy of creation. The following are the names of the two students' program works again and again: "Singer quiz, sheep flicker, villain race, moth to the fire, casino, casino V2.0, round practice, true and false lottery, food king" and so on; "Mini fruit shop, Doraemon quiz, fragrant flowers, tortoise and rabbit race, meatballs &; Guess numbers, color bubble making machine, spring overture, poetry appreciation machine, etc. Students' personality, preferences, creativity and success are all vividly displayed.
Wonderful program works are constantly emerging with the study of the next class of students. Figure 1 is a part of the interface of "weather controller" written by a student.
Figure 1 Student Works "Weather Controller" Part Interface
As the program prompts, according to the control of the console, the weather will change: day, night, windy, rainy, snowy, all kinds of lovely animals can snow. What a rich imagination! Only by enjoying it can we design such a complicated program without fear of hardships.
2. Set an example.
To cultivate students' keen observation, rich imagination and creativity, teachers should set an example.
First of all, we should care about, understand and study students, be good at observing students' study life, find practical problems that students are familiar with, interested in and valuable, and design teaching situations and teaching examples according to these problems, so as to apply what they have learned. For example, my classmates, my campus, the self-help tour plan and search research report mentioned in the previous article, and all the classroom demonstration examples I designed for the course of algorithm and programming, such as three-color board, four seasons, butterfly flying, switching lights, swatting flies, counting backwards and billiards, have been observed for a long time. These vivid practical cases and demonstration cases contain the crystallization of teachers' hard work, creativity and wisdom, which deeply impress students, attract students, influence students and stimulate their creative enthusiasm. The artistry, creativity and value of teaching are naturally reflected in it.
Secondly, teachers' observation, imagination and creativity should be reflected in the classroom at any time. Specifically, can we quickly find and capture the dynamically generated problems in the classroom and creatively solve them? Can you carefully observe and analyze the content taught and refine the essence of the problem? Can you present your rich imagination in classroom examples?
3. Show your works and broaden your horizons
Although the teacher has created an environment and space for students to give full play to their imagination and let them show themselves, not every student can make very creative works from the beginning. This is because the improvement of imagination and creativity is not achieved overnight, and it requires long-term and arduous training and training. During this period, it is also very important to continuously display works and broaden students' horizons. Let students go through the process of imitation, transformation and creation, stimulate imagination and finally reach the height of innovation.
Therefore, teachers should accumulate targeted special resources for a long time according to different teaching contents and situations. My approach is: First of all, in addition to teaching examples, a "broaden your horizons" column has been set up on the teaching website of each class to provide classic examples related to the teaching content; Second, open up the space of "teaching resources" on the campus network, and provide rich supporting resources for each teaching content. For example, "making personal business cards" has collected nearly 100 excellent works of previous students, dozens of excellent business cards at home and abroad, a large number of background pictures of business cards, line drawings and other resources; "Algorithm and Programming" collected the excellent works of eight students. Third, set up a "work display" column on the teaching website to display the creative works in each assignment; Fourth, open up an "excellent works exhibition area" on the campus network, and select and display excellent works in the whole grade.
4. Summarize and reflect, and then create.
Timely summary and reflection and second creation can also play a good role in promoting students' observation, imagination and creativity.
Case 3 Reconstruction of Personal Business Cards
Note: this is the teaching content of senior one. Through the design of the first business card, it is found that many students write words with pictures as the background, and their creativity is relatively simple. Therefore, the excellent business cards made by the drawing tools provided by Word itself are further analyzed in class, emphasizing creative design and conception. Then ask students to re-create business cards and think about their design intentions.
Specific requirements:
1. Give full play to your creativity, re-create and re-process business cards, and highlight the overall thinking and design.
2. Write a design description. The contents include: (1) Why did you choose this career; (2) the originality and design intention of the business card; (3) Creative design and technology application that you are proud of; (4) What you gained by designing business cards.
Results: Through the second creation, 80% of the students in the class redesigned the business cards, from the overall concept to the logo of the business cards, which highlighted the design and emerged a large number of creative and personalized business cards.
Student's reaction: Let's talk about design first: I used personalized rounded squares with color gradient from top to bottom in half of this business card, and designed squares with the opposite color to the background in these squares. Together, it is my initials: S. And the colors of the background and squares are also carefully selected: I used powder, black, white and gray, which is not lacking in personality. The background before and after is very different, which is also a bright spot. They make the whole business card look harmonious and artistic.
More importantly: I use Chinese and English in my personal data, and I choose a career as a writer. Because I like reading and writing very much, I want to be a writer in the future. I chose a very personal font, especially the font of English names, and I like it very much.
In a word, my design theme this time is personalization. It feels quite innovative. ...
In addition, it is also an effective way to enhance imagination and creativity by establishing an appropriate mechanism to encourage students' creativity. For example, in my homework evaluation, I take "creativity" and "personality" as the plus points of the evaluation scale; Set up "Famous on the List" and "Exhibition of Works" columns on the teaching website to praise and encourage creative works.
