"Spring Bud Cup" is an essay competition for students in primary and secondary schools, vocational schools and technical secondary schools nationwide, sponsored by China Children and Teenagers' Foundation and China Red Cross Society, and undertaken by Chinese Reading Guide of Capital Normal University.

The main purpose of the activity is to cultivate and develop the personality characteristics of primary and secondary school students in an all-round way, continuously improve the composition level of students of all grades, and better promote the teaching of Chinese composition in primary and secondary schools. The registration fee is mainly used to help out-of-school girls in poverty-stricken areas and publicize the Red Cross activities. This activity is held once a year. So far, the "Spring Bud Cup" has been successfully held for thirteen sessions, among which New Oriental has hosted many competitions.

1. All primary and secondary school students, vocational high school students and secondary school students who are interested in essay writing can participate voluntarily or collectively.

2. Those who participate in the essay writing shall pay the subsidy for out-of-school girls and the article review fee in 5 yuan.

3. In order to embody the principle of fair competition, the paper is divided into seven groups: the first and second grade groups, the third and fourth grade groups and the fifth and sixth grade groups; Grade one and grade two in junior high school, grade three in junior high school; Senior high school (including vocational high school and technical secondary school), grade one, grade two and grade three; Participants are registered in groups. The examination paper is finished. The first and second grades examine basic knowledge and writing, and the rest examine writing.

Guide innovative education, promote teaching reform, promote the research and implementation of new educational concepts and ideas, and show teachers' initiatives and achievements in teaching reform. At the same time, encourage primary school students to study hard and make progress, cultivate their interest in learning Chinese, improve their scientific thinking ability and promote the improvement of primary school mathematics teaching level.
