The May 1st Mathematical Modeling League is jointly organized by China University of Mining and Technology, Jiangsu Institute of Industrial and Applied Mathematics and Xuzhou Institute of Industrial and Applied Mathematics. It is a scientific and technological competition for college students hosted by the School of Science of China University of Mining and Technology.

It originated from the University of Mining and Technology, based in Xuzhou and Jiangsu, facing the whole country and the world.
