School profile

Jiangsu Second Normal University is a provincial general undergraduate school with teacher education as the main body and focusing on training primary and pre-school teachers. Its predecessor, Jiangsu Institute of Education, was founded in 1952. It is one of Jiangsu 17 public undergraduate schools in the early days of the founding of New China. 65438-0959, the school took the lead in holding general undergraduate education among provincial education colleges in China. During the Cultural Revolution, schools were closed and classes resumed on 1978. In 20 13, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was transformed into an ordinary undergraduate school and renamed Jiangsu Second Normal University.
