The School of Mathematical Sciences implements the teaching policy of "laying a solid foundation, downplaying majors, teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, diversifying training and enhancing adaptability". The college has complete courses and flexible teaching arrangements. In the first two years, the compulsory courses for students of the three departments are basically the same, mainly including: mathematical analysis, advanced algebra, advanced geometry, computer, foreign languages, politics, physics, physical education and so on.

Starting from the second academic year, students choose a part from a large number of professional courses offered by the college according to the requirements of each department; Some courses are compulsory for some departments and optional for others. There are many specialized courses offered in our college, mainly including: ordinary differential equation, partial differential equation, real variable function, complex variable function, functional analysis, abstract algebra, differential geometry, topology, mathematical statistics, applied stochastic process, applied time series analysis, applied multivariate statistical analysis, experimental design and quality management, sampling survey, statistical calculation, actuarial science, mathematical model, numerical algebra, numerical analysis and computational fluid. Undergraduate students can also take courses offered by other departments such as School of Economics, School of Management, Department of Law and Department of Computer Science.
