How to win the national prize of mathematical modeling competition step by step?
It's really realistic to see how much you wrote. Let me just talk about my experience. You can use it for reference if it is useful.

Like you, at this time of my sophomore year, I was fascinated by mathematical modeling, and I became the vice president of the Digital Module Association (I was selected mainly because I am good at mathematics). Freshman studies physics, sophomore studies software. I have always been interested in science, but I switched to engineering because of employment and other reasons. I also planned to take part in the mathematical model competition from the freshman year, but the real contact was in the sophomore year.

I think the most important thing in this competition is not individuals, but teams. Everyone in the team should have special skills or interests. My team is a good example. I am in charge of mathematical model, one is in charge of writing and the other is in charge of simulation. Of course, not everyone is independent, but what he usually prepares, because it is impossible for a person to do all the work. In addition to his main preparation, the other two aspects should also be involved, so that someone can make up for the problem at any time. In the competition, we should cooperate with each other to finish the problem. In addition, try not to change players frequently, and find the right one at a time.

Sophomore participated in the school-level competition for the first time last semester, and only won one entry prize. It is a real understanding of what mathematical modeling is and what this process is. I just read some reference books before, but I haven't really experienced them. I have no such experience. Therefore, it is best to take part in one or two small competitions before taking part in the competition, so as to know what a mathematical modeling competition is. This is also the key to whether you can accurately grasp the progress of the game. Without experience, you can't make a reasonable schedule according to your own conditions.

After that, there will be a game next semester. For some reason, I didn't attend. Two other people took part with another person.

Then there was a national school audition. I participated with one player, and the other didn't participate in anything. Finally selected.

In fact, we didn't prepare for the second year of high school, and we all accumulated it through several competitions. In addition, our major also has advantages, and programming and writing documents are more common.

During the summer vacation, the school arranged three days of papers. Because our team is still working on this project, the time we can give is very limited. It was basically completed in a day and a half. In fact, it's a big test for three people. They need to look up information, decide ideas and write articles, so that's why I say team is important. Everyone needs to do their best. So I wrote six or seven more articles, and the cooperation of the three people was still very tacit. When it comes to harvest, I feel that I have seen too many problems and models.

Then there was nationals, and I didn't sleep much for three days. Three people have been working, and finally they wrote more than 30 pages before handing in their papers. Not very ideal, I didn't buy it.

Now that I think about it, I didn't do enough at that time.

The above is my experience. Speaking of arrangements, I'll simply arrange it for you. See for yourself whether it is reasonable or not.

First, form a team. To find a suitable player, you must have the ability, preferably strong mathematical thinking, strong programming ability and much writing experience. This formation is very helpful for future development, which is also the successful experience of previous generations, and so is our team.

Secondly, it is necessary to be familiar with the game, participate in several small games, understand this process, and run in the cooperation between players to enhance understanding. Our team is in the same class, so we know each other better.

Finally, as far as preparation is concerned. Our team is based on the above division of labor. I usually read books on mathematical models, another is to learn MATLAB, mainly preparing for simulation, and the other is to see how other people's winning papers are written, how their ideas are arranged, what is the flow of the whole paper, prepare the paper template of the competition in advance, find out the font indentation title and so on, and practice writing abstracts, because the primary election only reads abstracts, and it should be no problem to get a provincial prize after the primary election. If it is an international competition, you should be able to get the second class after the primary election. I don't care about the other two aspects, but I know something about them myself, because after all, the paper is written by three people, at least you should know how to write professionally, not like some lyric prose. Personally, it's a mathematical model. I don't think it's necessary to cover everything, so I can't see it. There are too many. Look at some main common patterns, mainly to improve the ability to understand and learn quickly, because the content of the competition question is definitely new, and it is impossible to find the manuscript, so the ability to master new knowledge quickly is very important. Before the last game, we had not been exposed to queuing theory, but by the next night, I was able to apply this new knowledge to this topic. So this ability is very important. As for the degree of learning, there should be no limit to this. If you want to learn, you must learn more. In fact, if you have the ability, it is the same to learn anything. Don't learn by rote, it's mainly what you think, what others think and why.

All right, that's all. I've written too much. I don't know if you want to read it. I wish you good grades.
