Most people know Qian Zhongshu's Fortress Besieged, that he is a great writer and scholar, and envy his love story with Mr. Jiang Yang.
Qian Zhongshu, 19 10, from Wuxi, Jiangsu. His original name is Yang Xian, and his word is Zhe Liang. Later, it was renamed Zhongshu, and the word was silent. He is a modern writer and literary researcher in China. Together with Zong Zhen, he was called "South Rao North Money".
Most of us only know that his alma mater is Tsinghua University and his department is Foreign Languages Department. In fact, when Qian Zhongshu was a child, he was adopted by his uncle as soon as he was born because his uncle had no son. When Qian Zhongshu was four years old, his uncle began to teach him to read. Finally, one day, Qian Zhongshu's father saw his lack of progress and caught many bad habits, so he cursed Qian Zhongshu. Later, due to the early death of his uncle, Qian Zhongshu was taken care of by his father.
Perhaps it is because Qian Zhongshu's father teaches in Tsinghua, and he has always been dissatisfied with Qian Zhongshu's composition. Under the strict supervision of his father, Qian Zhongshu's writing ability improved rapidly, so he became a famous great writer.
The great writer turned out to be a "math idiot"
1929, Qian Zhongshu was admitted to the Foreign Languages Department of Tsinghua University, but there is a story about how Qian Zhongshu was successfully admitted to Tsinghua University.
When Qian Zhongshu first entered the campus, he was very famous. Because he has a wide range of subjects, his math score in the college entrance examination is only 15. Even if he is no longer good at math, it is really hard to say that he has passed the exam 15.
Ironically, however, Qian Zhongshu's Chinese and English level is not generally good, and he has been worshipped by many students, and his English score is almost perfect. This is also inseparable from Qian Zhongshu's childhood education. Under the influence and strict requirements of his father, Qian Zhongshu was very familiar with liberal arts since childhood, but mathematics was once unable to keep up with the progress because of his uncle's negligence when he was young, and it was even more difficult since then.
Liberal arts pays attention to self-study, emphasizing understanding and understanding, while science, a subject with strong logic and relevance, is a bit difficult to learn well without a good teacher, so that Qian Zhongshu has always been an amateur in mathematics. From 1955 to 1957, with the support of others, Qian Zhongshu completed Selected Notes on Song Poetry in two years, including 297 works by 8/kloc-0 poets in Song Dynasty. From 65438 to 0972, 62-year-old Qian Zhongshu experienced setbacks and began to write the first draft of "Pipe Taper Compilation", and then tirelessly revised it again and again.

From "Ji Xing" in the Song Dynasty: "Gold has no sufficient color, and white jade has slight defects. I am not prepared for help, I wish the old gentleman a family. " Metaphorically, you can't ask a person to be free from any shortcomings and mistakes.
A wise man will see clearly his weaknesses. Since weaknesses exist and cannot be eliminated, we should strive to give full play to our strengths. When your strengths are strong enough, no one will see your weaknesses again. It is absolutely wise to learn to manage your own advantages and add value to your life. Carry forward your strengths to the extreme, and you can also shine.
Just like Qian Zhongshu, we don't need to be a perfect person. People who only exist in idol dramas. If you are good at a subject and devote yourself wholeheartedly, you can get wonderful results. Learn to accept your weaknesses, foster strengths and avoid weaknesses, keep moving forward, and finally make a difference.
