College English major is liberal arts, and mathematics in science has little to do with English major. Besides intensive reading, extensive reading, writing, listening and other basic courses, college English majors also have translation theory, English literature, American literature, linguistics and other subjects in their senior year, so they have no time to study advanced mathematics.
