Lu Zongda died like this-I miss my grandfather Lu Zongda.
My grandfather Lu Zongda is a professor in the Chinese Department of Beijing Normal University. He studied exegesis and textual research of famous things all his life, and was an important successor of the school of "Zhang (Tai Yan) Huang (Kan)". On September 3rd this year, Beijing Normal University held a grand meeting to commemorate the birthday of Mr. Lu Zongda100th anniversary. More than 300 guests from all walks of life and Hong Kong and Taiwan deeply cherished my grandfather's life story and academic achievements. And to commemorate the publication of the centenary of Mr. Lu Zongda's birthday. According to my grandfather, my ancestral home is Cixi County, Zhejiang Province, but I settled in Beijing six or seven generations ago. My ancestors did business, including a drugstore and a hat shop, and several properties. However, in feudal society, when businessmen had money and no position, they trained grandpa to study at home, hoping that he would shine.

Grandfather is very talented and clever. When I was in primary school, I entered the famous primary school attached to Normal University (that is, the first experimental primary school in Beijing today) and was in the second grade. Moreover, because of excellent grades, the school is also allowed to start reading from the third grade. Grandpa's homework is among the best in the class. The map he drew in geography class was once taught by the geography teacher as a sample map. When I was in the fifth grade, a teacher Zhang thought that my grandfather didn't have to go to the sixth grade and supported him to take the senior high school entrance examination one year in advance. As a result, my grandfather was admitted to the famous Shuntian Middle School (the predecessor of Beijing No.4 Middle School). In middle school, my grandfather's favorite subject was mathematics, and sometimes he could solve problems that the math teacher could not solve. Therefore, whenever teachers encounter problems, they are always asked to stand up and answer them, and are often asked to stand up and demonstrate to students on the blackboard.

After graduating from high school, my grandfather really wants to apply for the Mathematics Department of Peking University. But he didn't know until he went to Peking University to ask, and he had to take an English test to apply for science at Peking University, and he studied German in No.4 Middle School. So I had to choose the Chinese Department of Peking University, first attended the preparatory course, and then quickly transferred to the undergraduate course. At that time, the courses of Chinese Department were divided into literature, language and literature. My grandfather chose a language major and also took some literature courses. At that time, two professors who taught literature admired his grandfather. One is Mr. Liu, who teaches ci, and the other is Mr. Liu, who teaches poetry in the Han, Wei and Six Dynasties. They all think that his grandfather is very talented in writing poems and lyrics. Huang Jie said to his grandfather, "Just learn Chinese and Wei Xiaoshi from me." Grandfather is interested in linguistics.

1926. Grandfather met Huang Kan (Ji Gang), a master of Chinese studies, through Mr. Wu (Zhai Jian). After listening to Huang Kan's lectures several times, my grandfather was deeply fascinated by his knowledge and research methods, and immediately went to his home to learn from him. One day, at three o'clock in the afternoon, my grandfather went to visit, and Huang Kan was still in bed. Grandfather stood under the porch of the East Gate and waited. Who would have thought that Huang Kan slept until nearly six o'clock, when it was already faint and Grandpa had not left. Huang Kan was greatly moved. Since then, the relationship between teachers and students has become closer.

Grandfather has been concerned about the current situation and state affairs since he was a child. It was in his second year of middle school that the May 4th Movement broke out, which shocked China and foreign countries. Grandfather quickly took part in street propaganda and was arrested by the military and police when he gave a speech at Huguo Temple. At that time, he was only a child of 14 years old. After his grandfather was arrested, he was put in the Third Hospital of Peking University. The authorities thought these middle school students were a group of "teenage dolls" and released them soon. Since then, my grandfather has a stronger revolutionary consciousness of protecting the country and benefiting the people and saving the nation from extinction.

Shortly after he was admitted to Peking University, influenced by his roommates Hu and Wang Lansheng, his grandfather secretly joined the * * * production party at 1926. At that time, Peking University was a key point in the development of the * * * production party, and many students joined the party. Following "April 12th" 1927, Zhang, the producer of * * *, was arrested in Beiping. The party organization was destroyed, and my grandfather and most of the students who joined the party lost contact with the party.

After the Anti-Japanese War, Peking University moved south, and my grandfather failed to go with him. Seeing that the cultural and educational institutions in Peiping were taken over by the Japanese, he came to Fu Jen Catholic University, a Catholic school run by the Holy See, which was not under the jurisdiction of the Japanese. Because my grandfather has a certain reputation in academia at this time, Japanese sinologists came to him to learn from him, but my grandfather politely declined. He secretly read the publications promoting the war of resistance against Japan, helped students escape from Beiping to the rear area to participate in the war of resistance against Japan, took great risks and almost caused accidents several times. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, my grandfather established contact with the underground party. Because of his extensive social contacts, there are many classmates, friends, classmates, people from all walks of life and the Kuomintang. The underground party wants grandpa to take this opportunity to do some work. Soon, my grandfather became the dean of Huada, secretly protecting progressive students. Later, my grandfather, a student working in garrison headquarters, Peiping, asked him to be a tutor for his son by the garrison commander Chen Jicheng, but the underground party asked him to promise. Grandpa said that Chen's son loves to drive and often drives around the city with his grandfather in a car with a "guard" sign. Grandfather took the opportunity to send a message to the underground party.

At that time, my house was very large, with two quadrangles inside and outside and three long courtyards next to it. Therefore, at that time, the Ministry of Industry of the underground party selected my home as the contact point, and we often met, held meetings, contacted and checked in. Many underground party member from Beiping to the Liberated Area were sent to my home by underground gangs for a few days, and then set out from my home when they were ready. My great-grandmother doesn't know the details and often complains about her grandfather, saying, "Where did you attract so many people? You come and go all day with three or five mouths, even eating and living! " Later, under the arrangement of the organization, my grandfather shaved his head, put on a disguise, took a fake ID card, and under the cover of a businessman, he prepared a blockade with my grandmother and my fifth aunt to go to the liberated areas to open the National People's Congress in North China. It turned out that my grandfather had a student who worked as a county magistrate in a county near the liberated area, saying that he could protect his grandfather from crossing the line. I didn't expect him to change his mind temporarily, saying that the wind was too tight to guarantee safety. So my grandfather wants to make a detour from Jinghai County. One day, he was walking in the county seat and bumped into a man. He looked at it and thought it was broken. The man didn't speak, followed grandpa and followed the inn. Seeing no one around, he whispered, "Teacher, you don't have to say what I am doing now. I suggest you go home quickly. Two days ago, a professor from Zhejiang University tried to go there in disguise. He was recognized and buried alive. You are my teacher, so I can't help reminding you. If I go any further, I will not dare to settle down. " It turns out that this is a student of China University who works in the Party Department of Jinghai County, and his grandfather knows him. Grandpa took several detours, but he didn't make it, so he had to go back to the city. Soon after, Beiping was peacefully liberated. That year, my grandfather was 44 years old. Grandpa is a romantic. He likes life, especially Kunqu opera, and he can do all kinds of tricks. In the early 1930s, when he was teaching in Peking University, he once lived in a temple near Shichahai for a period of time, in order to be close to Peking University, and to get together with friends who like it. At that time, Mr. Zhao (banker and bibliophile) once wrote: "Lu Zi ... lives in Xiao Temple in Shichahai, talks about reading in his spare time, and plays the flute and sings when he is ordered to be a companion." Singing in the winter night, walking arm in arm on the ice, the moonlight is like silver, and the pool is empty. Qing Yu (calligrapher Zhu Jiaji) let out a long whistle with a clear voice. The cold forest of the ancient temple also echoed. Young people's spirit is quite indifferent ... "

I also vaguely heard about these past events from my grandfather. At that time, friends came to the temple to play with grandpa, and everyone always gathered in front of the temple hill. There is a clearing here, facing the lake in Houhai, and there are several ancient locust trees with green leaves covering the sky. In summer, the cool breeze blows gently, clearing the shade and restoring the soil; In winter, the branches are winding and full of ancient meaning. Grandfather and his friends are playing the flute and singing this song. At the end of the song, they laughed and laughed until the lights were dim and everything was silent. Grandfather once said that sometimes he sits alone in front of the temple or under the ancient pagoda with a flute or flute in his hand, in the evening when the stars and the moon are sparse or the drizzle is blurred. Facing the vast smoke, he slowly blew the flute, and its sound was far away, reaching a secluded realm. What if I play the flute? Its voice is clear and clear, and it has an elegant pleasure. If it is a beautiful spring and autumn, it is a different scene to call friends, draw boats and carry wine, and make light and shadow. Jia Zhu? In retrospect, Mr. Wang said, "... your grandfather later rented two rooms in a yard near Shichahai, which was quite spacious and bright." These people who like Kunqu opera often come to his party, including my eldest brother, second brother, third brother, Zhao, Zhou Fu, me and several people from Peking University. Later, everyone went to the Hutong National Drama Club in Dongrong County, presided over by Qi Rushan. Because Qi Rushan and Han Fuju are related, this house used to be Han's residence. After Han left, Qi used it to date friends. There are also famous Kunqu actors, such as Hou Yilong, Han Shichang, Ma Xianglin and so on. Your grandfather is very kind to them and often gives them some money. For example, your grandfather paid for Hou Yilong's spring fever and hospitalization. Han Shichang and Bai Yunsheng, they all received help from your grandfather. When there was a flood in Tianjin, Hou Yushan came to Beijing and lived in your home. That's when your grandfather learned' blackheads' from Hou Yushan. Regular Kunqu fans include Fu Xihua, Tan Qixiang and Zhang Guruo. I know how many times your grandfather has appeared on the stage. The first time was to celebrate your ancestor's birthday. I played Xunzi in "Single Knife Meeting" in Fushoutang Mill, and he played Guan Gong. The second time was at Peking University Art College, playing "Tanci" in "The Palace of Eternal Life". He plays Li Guinian and I play Li Mu; The last time was to celebrate the establishment of Kunqu Opera Society of China University. In Auspicious Theatre, it is still the palace of eternal life. He is still Li Guinian, and I am still Li Mu. " Grandpa has experienced twists and turns, romantic personality and rich emotions, but he studies hard and is willing to work hard. Regardless of spring, summer, autumn and winter, as long as he doesn't go out, he always gets up at four or five every day, then brushes his teeth and makes tea, and then reads and writes while smoking and drinking tea. After getting up at seven o'clock, the family began to wash their faces and have breakfast. Start writing at eight o'clock and have lunch around eleven o'clock. Have a cigarette after dinner and take a nap for an hour and a half. Start writing at two o'clock and have dinner at six in the afternoon. Watch TV for about an hour after dinner and go to bed.

Grandpa's schedule is more accurate than the clock, as long as there are no visitors and going out, he never disrupts it. He has two good habits. The first is never to "snuggle under the covers" and get up at dawn with your eyes open. There is no time for procrastination. Second, as long as you don't sleep, you should never lie on the bed, lean on the bed or "snuggle" on the bed. Tired, I took a nap in the chair. Ten minutes later, I continued to read and write. Grandpa is also very careful in preparing lessons. He once said to me, "I just need to give lectures, no matter how familiar the lessons are, I have to prepare." Whenever there is a class the next day, he will not sleep well the night before, get up early the next day, prepare lessons again and wait for dawn. He not only prepares lessons carefully by himself, but also requires students to be familiar with the text before class. He once said to his students, "No matter how many times you speak a text, even if you recite it backwards, you should prepare it." . Every time I prepare lessons, I can learn new things and get new inspiration. "When he teaches teaching methods. He said, "I learned my teaching method from Teacher Ji Gang. Teacher Ji Gang's lecture is like peeling old corn, and the conclusion is that the corn heart is wrapped in layers of corn skin. Tear off one layer, go deeper, tear off another layer, go deeper, from the outside to the inside, from the shallow to the deep, and finally suddenly see the light, which is both attractive and inspiring! "Grandpa's class is also lively and interesting, which is welcomed and imitated by students. Time flies. It has been nearly twenty years since my grandfather was born. A few years ago, an old neighborhood told me that all the bungalows we used to live in had been demolished and asked me if I wanted to go back and have a look. So I went back to my hometown.

The courtyard wall of the old house has been demolished, and the walls of the north house and the south house have also been demolished, but the roof and frame are still there. The yard is full of broken bricks, bluestone road is beyond recognition, and there are no flowers and plants. Only the old apricot trees under the Dongshan wall are still the same, and the apricot flowers are still in full bloom, swaying the high blue sky.

I sat on the broken brick under the tree, thinking like water, going back in time, and grandpa's life came to my mind. In my opinion, my grandfather is an idealist and a man with faith and pursuit. I remember a few years ago, the Normal University got together to celebrate my grandfather's 90th birthday, and many people went to politics and academia. When the leaders of the municipal party committee talked about his grandfather's revolutionary achievements in those years, a scholar said: "I have been in contact with Lu Lao for decades, and I often go to his hometown to drink and chat with him, and listen to Lu Lao talking about the past and talking about the elderly, but only after listening to the speech did I know that Lu Lao had made so many contributions to the revolution. This really surprised me, because Lu Lao never mentioned a word when he was alive! " My grandfather has never lived in a public house in his life, never reached out for his salary, professional title and various treatments, and never mentioned that glorious revolutionary history again. Why?

I think this is the real revolutionary, an outstanding intellectual under the influence of Confucian culture. When the country is in turmoil and the people are poor, they feel that they shoulder heavy responsibilities and fight for the nation. The world is settled, and the people are happy. They retire to the nymphs and immerse themselves in their favorite academics and hobbies again. If we exchange the glory of the past for the benefits of today, it will violate their original intention and the principle of being a man of Confucian culture. So they won't think about it or do it.

But this is far from today's values and secular concepts. I can't help but recall that when I was an educated youth in the northeast, the local person in charge learned about my family's history from the archives, which made me think hard. When I told him that my family had never suffered before liberation, his eyes widened in surprise, which I will never forget. At that time, people's thoughts were so simple. Without deep hatred, what revolution did you come out to do? And I know that the real revolution is an ideal and a belief, so it is selfless and honest. But I will tell all this to my children in the future. Can he understand?

I sit and think. I understand that I can only try to influence, but I can't predict and change what values my next generation will choose. A generation has the pursuit of a generation, and they will have their own ideas of right and wrong, good and evil. However, I firmly believe that no matter how human society develops, its ultimate goal is selflessness and honesty. Assuming this, then the pillar of society will still be ideals and beliefs. Thought of here, I felt very gratified, so I got up and left. It is dusk, and the dusk is deep. In the evening breeze, white apricot blossoms floated leisurely and landed on the quiet walls, eaves and steps. ...
