SIM exam is a set of exams tailored for the business administration major (IAE College) affiliated to French public universities, which covers: mathematics, English, French and literature. An ideal SIM test score will be very helpful for business schools to apply for top public universities. The following is the final exam of 20 18 triumph in sight SIM training class (mathematics is close to perfect score! Wang Xuejie's first-person report:
I took two SIM exams in Guangzhou in March and April this year. Total score of the first place 175, total score of the second place 193, math 95. I am very satisfied with my grades. The following is my experience on SIM test and preparation, hoping to provide some reference for friends who are preparing for the exam.
First of all, the SIM test is divided into four parts: economic management knowledge and cultural common sense, French understanding and writing, logical reasoning and mathematics, and English understanding and writing. I mainly focus on math and English. Because the first part, cultural common sense needs daily accumulation and involves a wide range, it is difficult to get high marks in this part. So I listened to Uncle P's advice and focused on mathematics, followed by English and French.
Let's talk about the preparation process first. Last June165438+1October, I attended the SIM preparation class of Uncle P. This is definitely a wise choice to get high SIM scores efficiently in a short time! When preparing the math part, my method is to listen carefully, review on time and do problems according to the process suggested by Uncle P. Slowly, I found that the math problems were almost done, and they were not as difficult as they were at first (except for the plausible comparison problems, haha). In English, there are many grammatical analysis questions. Uncle P took us to analyze verb collocation and review tenses. Then in the English reading section, we should grasp the time and do more exercises. Relatively speaking, English is also the part where we can get high marks. The third part, the cultural part, I raided the currencies and capitals of various countries two weeks before the exam, as well as the French events and world news in the past year, but the cultural part covered a wide range, so the final result was not very satisfactory. Finally, the part of French comprehension and writing. In the French part, I reviewed the verb modification and recited the meaning analysis of Uncle P. As a French major, I thought my French foundation had some advantages in this chapter (haha, actually it didn't).
It takes about two months to prepare for the SIM exam. I did two sets of math problems issued by Uncle P, two in English, one in culture and one in French. Two sets of simulated test questions are suggested to be done within the specified time two weeks before the test. Because the SIM exam is conducted simultaneously with France, I usually set a deadline of 3 hours to complete a set of questions in the evening.
Finally, I think it is also important to review the wrong questions. Every time I finish the questions, I will review the wrong questions and unsolved problems again. If I really can't figure out the answer, I will sum up and ask Uncle P. After Uncle P explained the wrong questions clearly, I read them all before the exam to deepen my impression. Because the SIM exam has rules to follow, the wrong questions will be wrong!
D'ailleurs, you should also pay attention to methods and skills when answering questions. Don't be nervous, pay attention to grasping the time and follow the appropriate order of answering questions.
My sharing ends here! I hope everyone can get satisfactory results in the SIM exam! I wish you courage! !
