According to the enrollment data of undergraduate freshmen released by Tsinghua University, * * * more than 3,700 candidates have become Tsinghua University students, including more than 3,400 from mainland China, more than 80 from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and more than 90 from other parts of the world.
In addition, about 34% of mainland freshmen, that is, about 1258 candidates, entered universities in Tsinghua University through various channels of independent selection and unified recruitment, mainly through strong foundation programs, excellent math classes and new math leaders.
In 2022, Tsinghua University enrolled students through more than ten channels, among which the number of students enrolled in the college entrance examination was the largest, ranking first, and the enrollment through the "Strong Foundation Plan" was about 1 128, ranking second.
297 people were admitted through the national special plan, ranking third. It can be seen that unified recruitment is still the main enrollment method in Tsinghua University, and the strong foundation plan also provides more opportunities for more candidates to go to Tsinghua. The enrollment of talents in mathematics program, foreign language walks, high-level athletes and high-level art troupes is relatively small.
It shows that it is difficult to get into Tsinghua by these methods, but the fact that these students can get in also shows that they are really excellent.
I. A strong foundation plan
An article in Peking University News Network mentioned that "from 2020 to now, * * has enrolled 262 1 students to participate in the' Strong Foundation Program'. According to the enrollment of 842 students in 2020 and 930 students in 2026, it is estimated that the solid foundation of Peking University will enroll 849 students this year.
Second, the Physics Excellence Plan
This year's Physics Excellence Program * * * has recruited about 60 candidates. Judging from the known data, the selected students are mainly senior one and senior two, and most of them have physics competition awards, which are concentrated in the provincial first to national training teams.
Third, the math genius class
Judging from this year's enrollment brochure, Peking University Mathematics Talents Class mainly recruits students from Grade Two and Grade Three. Excellent ones can relax. All CMO gold medal winners who have made outstanding achievements in mathematics-related learning and practice activities at home and abroad can sign up for the selection.
It has been previously confirmed that compared with previous years, the enrollment number and enrollment scope of elite mathematics classes in Peking University have expanded this year. Judging from the current known list, the number of students enrolled in the elite mathematics class of Peking University this year far exceeds the enrollment plan of "no more than 30 students" in previous years.
There are four senior one candidates and three CMO silver medal candidates. I believe that in the complete list, there are not only seven senior one candidates and silver medal candidates, which also reflects the characteristics of Peking University's independent selection of "eclectic talents".
