A difficult beginning of life
There is a saying that all roads lead to Rome, but some people have lived in Rome since birth, and most people are still on their way to Rome. Every road is particularly difficult.
This is especially true for the Wei Xiang family in Gansu. On an ordinary day, Wei Xiang's parents had their only child, which should be a deep joy. After Wei Xiang was born, he was diagnosed with congenital spina bifida and spinal cyst, and the fire of joy was extinguished by the ruthless reality.
For other children, running and jumping is a simple thing, but Wei Xiang can't do such a simple thing.
Since Wei Xiang was born, the motor function of both lower limbs has gradually lost. At first, Wei Xiang was able to move slowly by himself on crutches. Later, the illness worsened and I had to rely on my mother's back. This back is 12 years, 12 years. What a long time, as his mother, she did it. 12 years passed, and Wei Xiang's mother regarded herself as a day.
Women are weak, but mothers are strong.
Because of illness, Wei Xiang can't take care of himself in his personal life, so Wei Xiang's mother has to accompany him all the time, and the burden of family economy is on Wei Xiang's father, while Wei Xiang's father has just been laid off and has no stable source of income, so he works around, borrowing money and saving money in order to treat his son in a big hospital.
However, Wei Xiang's condition deteriorated day by day, and the cost of treatment was high, so Wei Xiang's father had to work harder. However, long-term high-intensity work and fatigue also plagued him with various problems, and finally died in the hospital in 2005.
The death of his father undoubtedly added fuel to the already difficult life of Wei Xiang's family. The pillar of the family is gone, but the life at home is still going on, and the burden is all on Wei Xiang's mother.
In 2008, Wei Xiang's mother went to a big hospital in Beijing with her family savings and Wei Xiang. After three operations, her condition did not improve very well. Disappointment and sadness filled the hearts of Wei Xiang and her mother.
Women are weak, but mothers are strong. As Wei Xiang's only support, for the sake of her children, Wei Xiang's mother can only take care of Wei Xiang while looking for a job outside and increase her meager income by simple work. Long-term fatigue left more serious time marks on Wei Xiang's mother's face, crushing her shoulders.
Because of illness, Wei Xiang can't walk, so she has to rely on her mother to carry Wei Xiang to school. During the day, she took Wei Xiang back to school to study with her son. Because of Wei Xiang's illness, Wei Xiang can't take care of himself, which adds a lot of difficulties to school. She continued to carry her son home after school, and did not forget to make time to finish the work of a hospital nurse and earn some income for the mother and son.
In this way, year after year, day after day, it has been going on for 12 years, 12 years, and there are many ups and downs that others don't know.
But this back, back out of the children's bright future, back out of the hope of a home, completely changed the trajectory of Wei Xiang's life, back for a long time, so that Wei Xiang's mother's back also has big and small problems. Even so, Wei Xiang's mother didn't slack off. She gave all her love to her son and fulfilled her responsibilities to the extreme. She did her best, and the greatness of maternal love was vividly interpreted by her.
Self-discipline and social commitment
With such a mother's company and care, Wei Xiang has lived in a comfortable environment since childhood, and has not been bullied by others. She grew up in such a strong maternal love, and Wei Xiang herself worked very hard and seriously.
The torment of illness and the pain of his father's death made Wei Xiang different from other children since childhood, but he didn't feel depressed and inferior. Instead, I choose to face life positively and repay my mother's dedication and care with my own efforts. The difference in childhood life also made Wei Xiang understand that life is not easy since he was a child, and he is increasingly planning to improve his life and his mother's life by studying.
Wei Xiang spent all his time studying because of his mobility difficulties. Looking at her mother's day and night hard work and aging face, Wei Xiang saw it in her eyes and kept it in her heart, turning it all into her own motivation for learning. However, physical illness prevented Wei Xiang from sitting for a long time. Leg weakness, paralysis, incontinence and so on. All these have become the difficulties to be overcome in studying in Wei Xiang.
But Wei Xiang didn't give up, endured the pain, and sailed forward bit by bit in the ocean of learning with his perseverance and determination. As the college entrance examination approaches, Wei Xiang studies harder and harder. He knew that years of study were coming to the final test, and it was finally time for his mother to repay his hard work for many years.
Finally, in the 20 17 college entrance examination, Wei Xiang handed in a satisfactory answer sheet with a score of 648. He didn't live up to his mother's years of nurturing, and didn't let his long-term hard study be in vain. Happiness finally came to such a poor but hard-working family.
On June 26th, Wei Xiang wrote to Tsinghua University: Because of her physical condition, she needed her mother to take care of her and accompany her to college. I hope the school can provide a place for their mother and son.
Soon, Tsinghua replied to the letter "Life is bitter, but please believe it enough", in which he agreed to Wei Xiang's request, affirmed Wei Xiang's attitude towards life and praised Wei Xiang's efforts and filial piety. 12 years of study and 12 years of mother's burden, at this moment, the joy of success belongs to them.
Great maternal love is so selfless, but it can't be separated from Wei Xiang's constant self-improvement, so that Wei Xiang finally entered the door of Tsinghua University, thus changing the fate of himself and his family. I didn't choose to bow to fate, but fought to the end. Tsinghua's school motto: self-improvement, kindness and carrying things, is a good interpretation.
