On the Understanding of Financial Mathematics
Financial mathematics, also known as mathematical finance, mathematical finance and analytical finance, uses mathematical tools to study finance, carries out quantitative analysis such as mathematical modeling, theoretical analysis and numerical calculation, so as to discover the internal laws of finance and guide practice. Financial mathematics can also be understood as the application of modern mathematics and computing technology in the financial field. Therefore, financial mathematics is a new interdisciplinary subject, which develops rapidly and is one of the most active frontier disciplines at present.

Our major in the School of Economics is finance. Different from economics and other majors, our major focuses on mathematical finance, emphasizing the use of mathematical means to study related issues. In the course setting, we not only emphasize the mathematics foundation, but also pay attention to the basic principles of finance, securities, insurance and economy. Second, the main courses

Mathematical analysis, analytic geometry, advanced algebra, discrete mathematics, ordinary differential equations, probability theory, mathematical statistics, econometrics, mathematical experiments, mathematical models, financial accounting, finance, microeconomics, securities investment, macroeconomics, enterprise financial management, financial time series analysis. Third, our employment prospects.

Our professional employment direction is relatively wide. Mainly: banks, securities, insurance, funds and some enterprises and institutions involved in financial positions. (1) Bank

With relatively stable income and good welfare, banks are favored by many financial students, so the competition is fierce. At present, banks in China are divided into three categories: central banks, commercial banks and policy banks. Four state-owned banks: Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China and China Construction Bank. Three policy banks: China National Development Bank, China Agricultural Development Bank and The Export-Import Bank of China. Joint-stock commercial bank: CITIC Industrial Bank. Hengfeng bank, Guangfa Bank, Shenzhen Development Bank, Bank, Industrial Bank, Bank of Communications, Minsheng Bank, Huaxia Bank, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank and Zheshang Bank. (2) Securities companies

The securities industry is a high-risk and high-pressure industry. Especially in the first three months, there was a demand for high-tech banks, and the competition was fierce, and the elimination rate was relatively high, so it was difficult to persist. So sometimes securities companies recruit people, but students are not enthusiastic. (3) Insurance companies

China is a potential insurance country in the world. Life insurance, property insurance and old-age insurance will have a huge market, requiring a large number of actuaries and investment management experts. Actuaries are the most scarce top talents in China. At present, there are more than 400 actuaries in China, 79 of whom have obtained the qualification certificate of domestic actuaries, but less than 50 of them have been recognized by the world insurance industry. According to statistics, after China's entry into WTO, a large number of foreign insurance companies came to China recently, and the market demand for actuaries reached 5,000. Therefore, the development of actuarial mathematics and financial mathematics is bound to be a general trend.
