What do you think is the most needed thinking in learning?
I read the book The Way to Learn, and the other day I saw it was Wizkin's and this book was Barbara's. These two books are different, but they are both worth reading and learning.

I have learned two kinds of thinking related to learning: First, the focused thinking mode is the thinking mode when people concentrate on understanding, recognizing, remembering and solving problems. In this mode, people's attention will be highly concentrated, their emotions will be more tense, and even their breathing will stop. For example, we used to run 1000m, so we should make preparations before the official start. When the referee shouted the words "Ready to Run", everyone jumped out. This is the mode of focused thinking.

Second, divergent thinking mode is a mode when the brain is relatively relaxed. In this mode, neurons in the brain are relaxed and distracted. For example, during the Chinese New Year holiday, we flew to the southern hemisphere for the summer, blowing comfortable sea breeze at the seaside, lying on the beach, or rocking the bed, feeling very comfortable, playing soft music, like sleeping instead of sleeping. This is the divergent thinking mode.

You can imagine a flashlight. In fact, a vivid metaphor can be used, which is a flashlight, but it is not a flashlight of a mobile phone, but a flashlight of a traditional household appliance. A flashlight can focus and expand the focus. When the flashlight focuses, the beam is stronger and denser, but the area is small, and only one point can be illuminated. This is the time for us to concentrate on thinking. When we are divergent thinking, the light beam is scattered, and the field of vision is larger, but the light intensity will be very low.

Therefore, if we want to learn and solve something, we can use the focused focus mode, and if we want to understand or accept new things, we'd better use the extended focus. When we lock in a direction, we can switch to focus. In fact, when we think about a problem in a focused mode for a long time, there will be many ideas, some of which are thinking about causing problems and some are thinking about solving problems. But when we can't find the connection between them, we can switch our thinking by switching flashlights, so that we can separate the thinking that causes problems from the thinking that solves them.

Here we will talk about knowledge connection (knowledge is open). Many people have seen Liu Weipeng's Dark Age, in which a chestnut is mentioned. His father assembled the TV set at home, and after everything was done, the TV set just couldn't produce images. Father is puzzled. As a result, I slept until midnight, suddenly thinking of what went wrong, and immediately got up to fix it. Sure enough, I can watch TV. On another occasion, my father helped Liu Weipeng's sister with high school math, but he couldn't solve any problems. Father thought of a solution and came up with a problem during his nap.

Liu Weipeng divided this matter into conscious and subconscious. When we face specific problems, we try to think about how to solve them. At this time, we all use conscious thinking. But when we stop thinking about problems and start thinking about other problems, we begin to think subconsciously (which is why we are always distracted).

Just like the background of the mobile phone, although we quit WeChat and logged into Weibo, WeChat is still running, which is operated subconsciously. Therefore, we can use the subconscious to leave some time to think about some problems before sleeping, walking and resting, so that the subconscious can continue to work around these problems during sleep and get results. Have you found that Liu Weipeng's consciousness and subconscious are basically the same as Barbara's concentrated thinking and divergent thinking? Centralized thinking is similar to conscious thinking, similar to Weibo we are watching on the mobile phone interface, and divergent thinking is similar to subconscious thinking, that is, WeChat running in the background of the mobile phone.

However, WeChat running in the background is not worse than Weibo's working ability displayed in the foreground. Therefore, learning to use subconscious and divergent thinking to deal with various problems may get more results, especially "learning".
