The second question on page 82 can calculate the area by measuring the base and height of the parallelogram. Question 5 on page 83: The areas of two parallelograms are equal, because their bases and heights are equal. Their area is 2.5x 1.4=3.5 (square centimeter). The side length of a square =32 divided by 4=8 (cm) is both the base and the height of a parallelogram. So its area is 8×8 = 64 (square centimeter). The circumference of the seventh question (18+ 15)x2=33 (cm). The area is 18x 15=270 (square centimeter). If you pull it into a parallelogram, the perimeter will remain the same and the area will become smaller. Because the height has dropped.
