His research interests include applied mathematics, information processing and transmission, signal reconstruction, artificial neural network, etc. He has presided over more than ten national natural science foundation, aviation science foundation, national defense scientific research and engineering technology projects, including the application of non-sinusoidal function in communication and signal processing, the theory and application of spectrum technology based on Chrestenson transform, electrical impedance image reconstruction technology, inverse problems in aerospace, the application of multimedia technology, the theory and application of satellite positioning system, automatic engine fault detection, information management system, engineering stress analysis and visualization, etc. Won the ministerial prize twice. Member of Electrical Mathematics Professional Committee of China Electric Machinery Institute, editorial board of Data Acquisition and Processing magazine. Because of his research achievements in harmonic analysis based on Chrestenson transform, he served as a member of the Presidium of the 3rd, 4th and 5th International Conference on Spectrum Technology in 1988, 1990 and 1992 respectively. He was hired as a lecturer by China Central Radio and TV University. The video course of Mathematical Analysis and Advanced Mathematics taught by him has been broadcast on CCTV and China Education TV since 1994, and was rated as an excellent lecturer by the Ministry of Education.
