There are nine provinces in the national college entrance examination, namely Henan, Hebei, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Anhui and Fujian. The national college entrance examination is divided into arts and sciences, and the examination subjects are Chinese, mathematics, foreign languages and literature/science.
Applicable areas of National Volume 1: Henan, Hebei, Shanxi, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Anhui, Fujian and Shandong;
Applicable areas of National Volume II: Gansu, Qinghai, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Ningxia, Xinjiang, Shaanxi and Chongqing;
Applicable areas of National Volume III: Yunnan, Guangxi, Guizhou, Sichuan and Tibet;
Independent proposition areas: Beijing Volume, Tianjin Volume, Jiangsu Volume, Zhejiang Volume and Shanghai Volume.
