Transverse area generalization
The side areas of cuboids and cubes depend on their arrangement. Usually, the total areas of the front, back, left and right sides of a cuboid and a cube are called their side areas. The four sides of a cuboid are generally rectangular, and there may be two opposite sides that are square, and all four sides of a cube are square.
The side area of right-angle prism is defined as the quantity describing the side size of right-angle prism and its calculation formula. The sum of the side areas of a regular prism is called the side area of a regular prism, and the area of its side development diagram is its side area. The side development diagram of the cone is a fan, the radius of which is equal to the generatrix length of the cone, and the arc length is equal to the circumference of the bottom surface of the cone.
