Guide: Do you believe in high-dimensional space? Can you imagine a high dimensional space? There has always been a saying in the scientific community: anything that cannot be tested or observed has no meaning of debate!

What does this sentence mean? It just shows a major feature of science: objective reality! Science studies the objective world that we can touch. We draw a preliminary conclusion (scientific theory) through constant observation and experiment, and then constantly verify this conclusion, so that the conclusion itself is more perfect and universal!

One more thing, science is far from everything. Science has falsifiability, which also determines that there will always be problems that science cannot explain. We can't always question science in this tone. Why can't science explain this and that? There are too many things that science can't explain. Science is just one of the ways for human beings to understand the universe!

However, the two concepts of "God" and "high-dimensional life" in the question have been divorced from the scientific category, because they do not have falsifiability. So, how should we answer this question?

High-dimensional space is unimaginable, and any theory based on it is questionable. This chapter will take you to think about high-dimensional space. The following contents are mainly extracted from Mr. Dunzhe Ling's book Change.

Let's look at a high-dimensional version of reasoning:

First of all, we start from the one-dimensional (point) world, which is static, two-dimensional (line) can move horizontally, and three-dimensional (body) can move spatially. As for four dimensions, at present we define it as a super body, and there is an axis (three-dimensional world) above its length, width and height. There is a false theorem that four dimensions = length, width and height+time axis, which is wrong. Some people infer that time movement can be carried out in four-dimensional space. At present, it is inferred that the universe has 1 1 dimensions, ten dimensions and one time dimension. It moves from a one-dimensional point (translation) into a line, a two-dimensional (mechanical motion) line into a plane, and a three-dimensional (rotational) plane into an adult. We can only measure the movement of the body and become a super body, mainly what is the way of movement. It can be measured from the above that one dimension is in two dimensions, two dimensions are in three dimensions, and three dimensions are in four dimensions.

However, the only variables we can grasp in three-dimensional space are length, width and height. We can only see two-dimensional images in a three-dimensional world. But we can't enter the two-dimensional world, such as a pencil drawing lines on paper, leaving the smallest handwriting. In this world, everything has a length, a width and a height. We cannot imagine a four-dimensional world, but we cannot enter a two-dimensional world. At present, we can't even identify and discover basic two-dimensional creatures. Similarly, creatures in the four-dimensional world may not be able to enter the three-dimensional space, nor can they imagine the five-dimensional world. So four-dimensional space does not pose a threat to us at present.

Some people assume that four-dimensional space is time, but I don't think so. Every dimension (except the time dimension) has a time theorem. At present, the universe we perceive is only four dimensions (one-dimensional, two-dimensional, three-dimensional and time-dimensional), not including four dimensions, or even the N dimension behind, and we define it as dark matter. We can't be sure whether there is life in four-dimensional space. Because if it exists, four-dimensional space may be able to move in time, then living things can violate the law of birth, aging, illness and death. So four-dimensional space can't detect three-dimensional, and four-dimensional space is also a false inference. Ok, all these versions of "dimension", from the mathematical definition to the generalized definition, to the alternative understanding of string theory 1 1 dimension, and to the popular science god helping us understand the world of 1 to 7 dimensions, what have you found? What have you learned?

You didn't. You still look as confused as I do! And you also find that the definition of dimension is really unclear. Let's discuss it.

1, the mathematical definition is simply that if a point, a line and a body are determined, how many parameters are needed is how many dimensions. Moreover, the dimensions are different when transforming description objects.

2. Broad definition: dimension is the number of abstract concepts related to things. Of course, this definition should be an edited encyclopedia. My definition is more of a philosophy and worldview. The dimension is the number of abstract concepts related to events and objects in time and space.

Although I changed it, it doesn't mean I agree. According to this definition, the dimension is not clear. Look at the key words: relevance, abstract concept, quantity. Finally, add environmental conditions: time and space. A total of * * * four words, which one is "clear"? Even the abstract conceptual connections of things can reach countless kinds.

3. Give some examples that people often cite as examples. People are three-dimensional, and shadows are two-dimensional. Accordingly, our three-dimensional creatures are four-dimensional "reflections". What does this mean? It means that we are not real people at all! It's an illusion, it's fake! In fact, this view is a distortion of quantum mechanics! A large number of quantum mechanics scientists had such questions and doubts before, and then they were forwarded by everyone, gradually forming a doubt! Completely confused!

Say a little more here. At this time, people without culture are the happiest!

In addition, some people think that watching low-dimensional in high-latitude space is just like watching TV, which can be controlled by keyboard such as fast forward. There is also a theory similar to that mentioned above that time can advance and retreat.

This imagination is good. The author aims to express the influence of high-dimensional space on low-dimensional space. But this kind of imagination would be too unrealistic. For example, watching TV, such as watching yy anchor. Both are the real world, and people who watch live broadcasts are high-dimensional? Think of the live people as low-dimensional? No matter who is in the high dimension, it doesn't mean who can control who.

At present, the foundation of physics, equality of time, the principle of relativity in a narrow sense and the principle of relativity in a broad sense have not been considered as wrong theories.

Let's take ants as an example, saying that ants can't know the three-dimensional world. In fact, this case is not rigorous. Ants themselves are three-dimensional animals. To say that ants can't understand the three-dimensional world is that humans subjectively think that ants are "stupid". But in fact, we are all amazed at the ability of ants to build nests. How do you prove that ants don't know they live in caves? In fact, it just lives in a hole. So what makes you say that ants can't feel that they live in a three-dimensional world?

If you say that a grass can't feel that it lives in a three-dimensional world. Yes, you can't. Intelligence is a serious injury! But it is grass.

6. Let's talk about the dimension space of string theory 1 1, which is quite interesting according to the author's interpretation, just as the author said: dimension is a descriptive quantity to measure the freedom of material movement. This definition is novel. But the definition of dimensions is even more confusing!

And everything that can be added to affect the motion of matter has become a "dimension", forming the 1 1 dimension of string theory. If string theorists want to describe the gradual motion of objects more accurately and define dimensions, they have a good starting point. But the situation will not be as string theorists think.

Obviously, as far as we know, the factors that affect the motion of objects are not enough. Otherwise, there would be no argument about "God rolls the dice". Contradictions in the quantum world can be seen everywhere!

I can think of several factors at will, and I can add them all. For example, spatial density, spatial temperature or different entropy systems also have effects on objects, or the quality of relativistic effect increases, which is itself an influence in relativistic space-time.

So we can't turn gravity, strength, resonance and weak force into dimensions. Because any object in the universe is not unaffected by these forces? It can only be said that this is a factor to be considered in describing the motion of objects.

The last article on dimensions helps us understand the real universe. This is another version. But the author summarizes two good points: first, high latitude can list all the possibilities of low dimension.

Second, we can't list the possibilities of our current dimension, and we can't foresee and interfere with high dimensions. From the summary of these two points, we can see that the author really thinks deeply and understands deeply. However, our embarrassing contradiction about the definition of dimension itself has not been lifted.

As the author summed up the first point: high latitude can list all the possibilities of low dimension. Current life experience and physical mathematics theory support this view. But does the set containing "all sets exist" exist? How many dimensions are there? We don't know. After entering the quantum world and the farthest macro universe, our imagination becomes more and more pale.

Ok, now let's go back to the theme of my chapter, the philosophy of space-time in the universe. In other words, I'm not telling you how many dimensions there are in the universe! No, I didn't. Neither can I.

I want to tell you how we should look at the universe, how we should look at life and how we should understand the philosophy of the universe.

Why do scientists finally go to theology? The answer is what I said above, even everything in this book from the first chapter to more than 30 chapters now.

Mystery is something that will not age, while reason will age with age. Newton and Einstein are also human beings. People have their limitations and the universe has its charm. She always attracts commentators to explain her. But after all, her mystery has not been taken off.

I want to tell you in the most straightforward language that our own theoretical system may have pushed us into a small space, even to an "illusion" situation! Your sense of existence, your sense of reality has been slowly declining.

People who have true feelings are happy. Of course, I hope everyone is a person with high IQ. I hope everyone can imagine a four-dimensional space-time scene, or even a five-dimensional space-time scene, but I don't want you to lose the truth!

Just as Planck lamented in his later years: "The final conclusion of my research on atoms is that there is no such thing as matter in the world, and matter is made up of rapidly vibrating quanta!"

He further analyzed: "All matter comes from a force that makes atoms move and keep close together. We must realize that behind this power is consciousness and mind, and mind is the foundation of all matter. "

This coincides with the Buddha's statement that "all laws are born of the mind", and it also corresponds to "all laws are illusory ... all laws, such as dreams, such as dew, such as electricity, should be treated in this way." The classic story of master Huineng, the sixth ancestor of Zen Buddhism, is equally obvious-sometimes when the wind blows, one monk says it is moving, and another monk says it is moving, and there are endless discussions. Huineng said: "It's not the wind, it's not sports, it's the heart of the benevolent."

Therefore, science has thus moved towards religious thoughts such as theology and Buddhism. Schrodinger has a good idea-that is, our senses are the way we know the world, and we should believe its authenticity.

After all, we are part of the universe. Although we are small, our understanding and cognition of ourselves are not in place. What do you think when you read this article, but you don't really understand how the brain constructs your thoughts? In other words, these ideas are "original" and outside your brain. In other words, matter has gone through a long time on the road to establishing consciousness, and you don't know these sources. Another person like you has the same equality. Because you are all part of the universe.

It is better to study and solve puzzles from people themselves if we expect to pursue those unimaginable and undefined things with "high dimensions" At least this is an imaginable real study. We should trust our cognition and senses.

Man is a three-dimensional spiritual animal with a body and a mind. This isomorphism of matter and consciousness is a miracle in itself.

Now I ask you: What are the dimensions of the so-called soul? What is the dimension of dreams in our brains?

When I think about dimensions, I am as confused as you, but I still start from the unexplained phenomena around me. Unwilling to touch the unthinkable. Although the definition of soul and dream is vague. But in our human history, everyone has more or less experienced the senses and consciousness.

From a quantum point of view, human beings belong to a kind of energy, both physically and mentally. As Planck said, the energy of vibration So after death, can people continue to exist in the form of energy or reincarnation, as Buddhism says?

The soul I'm talking about here is actually not the concept of a ghost. My philosophy is deeply influenced by Marx, and I also think that matter must determine consciousness. So the concept of soul is not an empty concept, but a strange energy existence. And in our subconscious, influenced by some movies and supernatural videos, we think that the soul exists in a three-dimensional world, but it is not controlled by the three-dimensional world. For example, you can go through the door and look through it. In fact, she is in a higher dimension than us, and we can think that the thinking world and the three-dimensional world overlap or cross.

Let's talk about dreams. Dreams are in our brains. It's amazing. In dreams, you can do things that you can't do in reality. The so-called "higher" than the three-dimensional world. And dreams can really affect our three-dimensional world. Give a nasty example, the dream of spring. Through the dream of spring, a boy ejaculated. Another example: H decided to change her itinerary through dreams, and her original flight crashed. In other words, dreams can influence and predict the three-dimensional world. This is also what we call a dream.

But let me ask you another question. What's the difference between dreams and everyday thinking? There must be a difference, but we can say that dreams and daily thinking are people's consciousness in different States. Then the problem comes again. How many dimensions does the thinking of daily thinking, namely spirit, have? Is it only when sleeping that people can enter a higher dimension than the three dimensions?

Then ask a question, if the dream is a high-dimensional environment, how do you describe a moving object in the dream? So it is time to stop asking questions. If we start the discussion, we can't finish writing another 10 thousand words. We still need time to discover more things to prove the strange things around us. But don't aim too high to imagine what you can't imagine. It is very important for us to trust our own thoughts and senses.

Insert one more thinking point here. In fact, my inspiration comes from Galileo's experiment of leaning tower of Pisa, slope experiment, Newton's thinking experiment and Al's thinking experiment of light speed. I once wrote a short article about "brain lab", which was based on brain thinking. But it is difficult to come up with a systematic theory to explain this thing. So the "consciousness" mentioned above is sometimes outside our brains and beyond the scope of consciousness. We haven't traced back to the source yet. The horizon of dimension will be our first consideration. Godel's Incomplete Theorem is something I often mention because it is really profound.

Live seriously and think seriously, live high, instead of following others. Your own perception is very important! This is your unique way of knowing the world. This is not what the exam-oriented education school can give you, but it inspires you to understand!

Although this article talks a lot about dimensions. But I tell you a truth, that is, we should be cautious about the high-dimensional and unimaginable space and leave the real thoughts to ourselves. I still prefer Einstein's four-dimensional space-time theory. I have mentioned this in many previous chapters. It may be nothing to ordinary people, but for physicists, astronomers and other people who specialize in research, you can imagine how confused their lives are if they go in the wrong direction. It's not sad, just like Newton and Einstein. They won't make us sad, but they are our heroes.

I don't pursue high-dimensional space-time because I want to be closer to my imagination, I want to be closer to the truth, and I still believe that the truth is complex but simple. The unimaginability and indefiniteness of high dimensions are worthy of vigilance!
