Ningbo University, referred to as "Ningda", is located in Ningbo. It is a university co-founded by China people, Ministry of Education, Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and Ningbo Municipal People's Government. It is a university jointly established by the State Oceanic Administration and the Ningbo Municipal People's Government. It is the first batch of "double first-class" world-class discipline construction universities in China and the first batch of key construction universities in Zhejiang Province.

By the end of 20 19 and 12, there were 25 teaching colleges, including 2 discipline colleges, 75 undergraduate majors and 62 undergraduate majors under recruitment.

According to the school official website in August 2020, there are three directly affiliated hospitals in Ningbo University, namely the affiliated hospital of Ningbo University Medical College, Lihuili Hospital affiliated to Ningbo University and People's Hospital affiliated to Ningbo University.
